Hi, I could not find any information on trailer hitches in the forum. Does anyone know how much they cost and where to get one? Also, my drivers seat is pretty torn up. Does anyone know of a decent looking grey or black seat cover. Not looking for an expensive or time consuming fix. Just a 22 year old college kid trying to make his '92 SC look decent. Hey all-- The brake light started coming on when I press the brake down to stop. It sometimes comes when I'm accelerating/turning hard too. I have 120,000 mi and am not sure if/or when the last owner changed the pads. So my questions are these: 1) How much does it cost to have a meinike or pep boys or whoever replace the brake pads and should I trust them? 2) Or, should I just buy some pads off of ebay and have my helpful buddy put them on for me? Which pads should I buy (not looking for anything expensive/high performance)? Thanks in advance.

$220 I can deal with, I'll probably ask my friend to help me put a refurbished ps pump in sometime this summer. For now though, i see a clorox bottle and/or duct tape in my future. Thanks, Andrew

Hi all, The alternator is shot on my '92 SC400 (117K). My roommate, an aerospace undergrad, says the PS pump is leaking on it. However, he said the fluid level is pretty high. The car has been making a whining noise since November. We found a rebuilt alternator w. warranty for cheap. Is there any kind of shield that we could put over the alternator to protect it? Read: What is the cheapest way I can solve this problem? Personal: I am a junior in systems engineering at the U of Illinois, and broke. I just want this car to run until I graduate and get a job (fingers crossed). I'd appreciate any advise. Thanks, Andrew

I was wondering if anyone was selling or knows of any interior door panels for a SC400 with grey interior. I just bought a Blue '92 SC400 and the previous owner did some weird things to fix the cracking/ripped up armrest (looks like he used wood glue!). I called Lexus and new parts cost around way too much. Thanks, Andrew.
