  1. Plasti-dip it flat black.
  2. That thing is starting to grow on me. Maybe I can win the lottery. :-)

My clutch return spring on my Trans Am popped in half once while I was dropping my daughter off at school. Really?!?!? I was just sitting there with the clutch pushed in and it broke and fell in the floor. The car was barely a year old. I used to buy a new car every year or 2. I have had a bunch of Camaros. You couldn't give me one of the new ones.
  4. Groovy! They are trying to appeal to an age group that can't afford the car.

Why doesn't GM just make it easy on themselves and recall every vehicle they make? Ridiculous. Build a decent car. At one time I had 4 GM cars in my driveway. My Z28, a WS6 Trans Am, a Corvette and a Grand Am. Started having so many issues that I haven't owned a GM product since. We put 4 power window motors in the Vette. Paint bubbled up on the TA when it was only about a year old. I could go on and on. Traded that for my '03 S2000 and never had a single issue with it. I have never gone back.
  6. I'm afraid manual trannies aren't much in demand now. People are too busy playing with their phones. You rarely see one. I know I have had my last one with my Z car. I have lost my skills. I used to be able to out shift anybody. :-(
  7. Since we have brought this back up, hubby now has a white 2013 F150 FX Sport. Nice truck. Also, since my Camaro isn't in the 3rd garage, we have a huge assortment of lawn equipment and I can keep the trash carts in it so you can't see them from the street.
  8. I can't help you with your replacement, but I just have to ask you what you were listening to that blew it. :-) Welcome to LOC.
  9. Well, I usually don't listen to the car stereo because I had speakers to my home stereo installed in my garage when I built my house. Since that was just a quickie vacuum job I might have. I'll make sure I don't do that again. I thought they were staying on because I had the doors open.
  10. Welcome to LOC Greg. I would hate to see you start modding a car with that low mileage. Seems like it would be worth a lot of money like it is and if you start modding, it would lose value. I guess a lot of that depends on how long you want to keep it. I put a supercharger on my 95 Z28. I'll tell ya, it made a lot of difference and I loved the whistle it made. Of course, it killed my gas mileage...you have to remember that too. I don't know the CA state laws. We have some CA fellas here that might be able to answer that.
  11. Thanks Lex! I'll have to make me a note to put it back on auto though. I have gotten so used to auto lights that I would never rembember to put them back on.
  12. I usually detail my car out in the bright sunshine, but this morning all I wanted to do was vacuum it so I just scooted it over and did it in the garage. I never noticed this before, but my headlights stay on the whole time!!!!! Never noticed that before. I mean, not DRLs or parking lights, but the headlights. How can I make it not do that. Sometimes I'm working for hours like if I'm applying protectant and stuff.
  13. Wow Lynda, that sucks. I don't know what to tell you. I would at least ask them if they would do it at cost. When my car runs out of warrantee, I'm either going to take it to Toyota or find me a good shop. Dealerships are better known as stealerships.
  14. Awe that is a cute little car. In like it and I like the color. I cried all day when I sold my Z28 I had had for 17 years. It took me about a year to really get over it and not frown when I saw the empty garage space. I would have never been able to afford what I'm driving now if I hadn't done it. We are also enjoying the empty garage space for lawn tools and stuff. Nothing is around our cars now. All and all, I'm glad I did it and one day you will be too.
  15. Try that Scratch Doctor. It might get it.
  16. Is it all the way down to the metal? If not, Scratch Doctor by Nu-Finish is a great product. I'm amazed at some of the blemishes I have gotten off of cars with it. Also....welcome to LOC.
  17. Hi Adam. Welcome to LOC. Congrats on the new car. Post a pic when you get a chance I'm a factory mat person myself. Perfect fit and color. Good luck.
  18. Ok, I guess my car has the virus now. Not even 14k miles. Rough idling, gas mileage dropping drastically and black soot on my bumper around my passenger side tailpipe. Needless to say, I'M !Removed!!!!!!!!!!! How can Lexus keep putting an engine in a car that they know has a defect like this? I'm going to have a good ole southern hissy fit if they try to charge me anything to fix it. When I mentioned it to my service writer before, he just said "don't believe everything you read on the internet". I guess he thinks I'm an idiot.
  19. Thanks for the info. Welcome to LOC. That it a little far for me to drive from Tennessee, but maybe someone else on here is closer and can attend. :-) Post some good pics from the event.
  20. Absolutely gorgeous. I'll take a yellow and a red one.
  21. Update. Last night in Memphis an innocent driver of a Maxima was killed by an idiot in a Camaro traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control.
  22. I would also think the different size tires would affect the speedometer and odometer.
