  1. I was averaging 25 city, 27 highway. This tank I have now is down to 22 mpg. Drastic drop. I could get the SA to hear the popping this time, thank goodness. I just took it back in today. I have a really yummy GS for the night.
  2. My son has a WRX. It is a sharp little car. My G37 had the most effortless throttle of any car I have ever owned, and I have had some fast ones. The car did have a lot of quality issues though. I would never buy another one. I tell you what car really turns my eye and that is the Scion FRS. I wish Lexus would do something with that body style.
  3. Wow. Acura really shocked me. Cadillac and Dodge were expected. It is a shame too. I would love a hemi Challenger.
  4. Ok. I just called Lexus of Memphis again about my poor gas mileage and window ratteling. The guy always tries to make me feel like such an idiot. He said there was nothing wrong with getting 2 mpgs less than I was 2000 miles ago. He told me not to put any faith in my tank average mpgs. Funny....it has always worked well. I called Lexus to intervene. I tell you one thing. As bad as my purchasing experience was and as big of a runaround as I'm getting from the service end of it....I feel like selling the damn car. This is pathetic.
  5. This site is by far my favorite. Some of them are just too full of kids that have no working knowledge of the English language. :-)
  6. I'm like you, it almost seems like some kind of chemical reaction with the fibers of the carpet and the rubber of the mat. I would make them replace the carpet again and get different mats.
  7. Ok, I'm really starting to want one of those bad boys. I have an idea.....I think the club should purchase one for me. I can take pics and make all kinds of reports and things. I think that should be one of my duties as a moderator and I'm ready to accept the challenge.
  8. Ok, let's take this a step further. If you had a 6 car garage and lots of money.....what would you fill it with? I would have Lexie, go buy back my Camaro from Joe, a classic '68 Camaro, preferably a convertible, a Nissan GT-R, some kind of a big luxury Lexus loaded to the hilt, and some sort of off road fun vehicle. That would about cover all the bases.
  9. Ok. That is a strange one. Are you sure you don't have any kind of leak? Maybe the gray fading turns pinkish?
  10. Lexus of Memphis had the only ISc with the F-sport package within a 300 mile radius. I saw it on the showroom and I had to have it. I still have the video I took of the car the day I first saw it. I had to have the rims, the grill, the aluminum pedals and the trim package. There was no settling for a non F-sport vehicle. I'm quite the opposite about the washing. I always tell my dealership DO NOT WASH MY CAR!!!!!!!! I don't want them washing my wax off and I don't want them messing up my emblems that I Plasti-dipped. I don't like anybody messing with my car. I have always done my own detailing. My best purchasing experience was with the Infiniti I bought. They were so awesome. The salesman kept in touch with me and even sent me personal Christmas cards.....not corporate ones. I'll never buy another Infiniti. The quality just isn't there. It sure was fast though. Yee Haw!!!!
  11. You are lucky that you had a good sales experience. My salesman was the worst I ever dealt with and I actually had to get a friend of the owner of the dealership to intervene. If i do buy another Lexus, I won't use that salesman. If they insist I do, I will buy something else. My IS has its own set of problems. The carbon build up issue, and bad window rattling (I have a convertible). Other people I have talked to on other sites have had the dealer correct these problems. My dealership is trying to make me feel like a dumb girl. I'm going to have to go over their head for satisfaction, I can see that. Thank goodness, my cooling/heating seats will stay on. I do keep them on too. Maybe the government doesn't care about ISs. :-). That is OK, I don't think much of the government either.
  12. I agree wholeheartedly. The rural, curvy route I take to the casino is so enviting of a full throttle. Too bad the speed limit is 45. Oh well.....that is why I have a radar detector on my dash.
  13. That just takes me to your AOL sign in page. I can drive 55.........in a 35 mph zone. Teeheehee
  14. Oh yeah....who needs a house when you will be out cruising all the time? BTW, I didn't win the powerball. :-( Have you ever seen the Don Garlit's museum in Ocala, FL? He has an awesome collection. One car that I was really impressed with was a Plymouth Superbird. It was painted a bronze color. It was the only one Plymouth painted that color. When I was a kid I loved those cars.
  15. Isn't it awesome? I hate roofs. I rode to and from the casino yesterday (60 miles one way) with my top down. It was almost 100 degrees, but with the a/c seat on and the a/c full blast I was totally comfortable. I love my car.
  16. Have you plugged it into your USB port in your console? I have all my music on my iPhone. As soon as I start my car, my music starts playing via Bluetooth. That or Pandora, whichever I want. I love it.
  17. If I ever win the lottery, I'm going to have a parking garage full of cars and a full time attendant to keep them all spotless and serviced. Ahhhhhh.....maybe tonight. I have 5 powerball tickets.
  18. Oh please, let's use "old school" and not dinosaur. :-) Also, some of us aren't posting too much because we are out riding around in the sunshine with our tops down.
  19. OK, I'm just getting a log in to an AOL account?????? Paul, are you on crack again?
  20. That is all that really matters, isn't it? :-)
  21. I know this sounds strange, but my son had a Ford Probe with a similar problem. At least try it.....it is free. Disconnect and reconnect your battery cable. His tranny would start acting up and this would correct the problem every time.
  22. Welcome Stephen!!! Miss pizzaz here. :-) You purchased a luxury car, and that is what you got. I bought the IS convertible with the F-Sport package. I'm 60 soon. I traded a 370Z manual shift for my car. It is hard to admit, but I had lost my shifting skills. I will probably never buy another one. It is heartbreaking, but skills do wane with age. My cars before that were a G37 coupe and an S2000. I had a supercharged Z28 show car that I had for 17 years. I just parted with it last year. I have a whole house full of car show trophies and even an old drag racing trophy from the 70's. I never tried autocross. I always loved the thrill of the quarter mile. There are nice, fun people here.....I promise. I'll chat cars with you any time you want to. Heck, I learned on a 440 6bbl Charger and never slowed down.
  23. Who is that beautiful baby girl?
  24. Yeah, a clean car is the best way to get some rain. Teeheehee.... You will like it here. Everybody is nice.
