  1. Like Don Garlits said, if you see the green you have lost. ;-)
  2. Looks like a great line up for sure!!!!! My first drag racing trophy was won in my boyfriends '69 Camaro 350 4bbl. Everybody teased the crap out of him because I could break into the 14s and he couldn't. Probably the weight difference. I was so excited but I had to tell my parents he won it because they would have KILLED me. I was only 16.
  3. Yeah, a CB antenna on a Lexus rates right up there with big plastic eyelashes. I had a friend that was the original owner of a '78 silver anniversary Corvette with a factory CB radio. He wouldn't even discuss selling it to me. Of course, those Vettes were POS!!!!!
  4. Teeheehee. That is hard enough with a hydraulic clutch. My '93 Camaro was a stick. I got stuck in a traffic jam for about an hour, just inching forward. My next car was an auto tranny.
  5. Teeheehee.....maybe you should carry barf bags in your glove box. Remember non-hydraulic clutches? My first job was working at a car wash. There was a guy that would come through and his clutch was so stiff that I couldn't push it in with both feet! When he came through, we would have to stop the track and let him drive it off.
  6. Sounds good Lenore. Reminds me of one more detail about my 280Z that I forgot to mention.....speaking of manly cars! It didn't have power steering and it was a manual tranny. I loved driving it. It was a car you really had to drive. There wouldn't have been any texting and driving in that car. I learned real quick not to put my fingers through the holes on the steering wheel. I did that once and hit a bump on one side and darned near broke my fingers off!!!!!
  7. Your son has good taste! :-) Congrats on the 2nd. Welcome to LOC.
  8. I'm fixing to have to do that myself for my granddaughter. Arrrrrg! I hate those things. I don't have the option of center mount because the convertible has a center console. I more worry about it damaging the leather. Let me know which seat you choose. Mine is going to have to be narrow!
  9. OK Denny. I watched your video. That looks just like the road to my sisters cabin in Cashiers, NC. You need to pair it with Running Down a Dream by Tom Petty.
  10. I was driving one day and there was a hawk on a light pole over the other lane. He relieved himself right as I was driving by. Thank goodness it was the other lane. Can you imagine driving under that with the top down? Teeheehee
  11. I always have my 32oz foam cup of tea in my car. I buy them by the case. If I ever spilled one I would die. When I bought my 370Z, I told my salesman that I would have to take it to Sonic to see if my tea would fit in that small cupholder. It would have been a deal breaker. He was happy when I came back and the tea was sitting in it.
  12. Wax on wheels? Even I don't do that. Gets the brake dust and road film.
  13. Snacks?!?! In a car?!?!?! NEVAH! Denny, you need one of those stickers that say get in, sit down, shut up and hang on.
  14. OK Denny, you just made me spit my grapefruit all over my iPad.
  15. I like snow for about 2 hours. You know why bird !Removed! is so bad for paint? They don't have a digestive system, just acid that devolves the food. It is acid.
  16. When I wash my car, I wash the car, then dump my suds and make a bucket of Dawn to do my wheels and tires. Great grease cutter.
  17. Lex, it's from the rain. Mostly on the back glass. I never have a problem on my paint because I keep such a good coating of wax. Denny, I'll let you know how this works. Everything I have ever gotten from Zaino was awesome. Once I took my S2000 to the casino and parked it overnight. I parked way out like I always do, but didn't think about the sprinkler system coming on and hitting it. They must just pump that water straight out of the Mississippi river because it etched spots on that car that NOTHING would remove. I tried everything. Clay bar, scratch remover, abrasive wax......nothing removed it. I was sick. Of course, only I could see it.
  18. No, what I'm talking about is really just hard water spots.
  19. Thanks Lenore. Once I get the etching off, I will. :D
  20. Just ordered another gift to self. I got an email from Zaino this morning. I didn't realize that they had come up with a one step car polish. Ordered one of those and I'm going to try their glass polish. Hopefully it will help with the film on my windshield. I also have acid rain etching on my back glass. Yippee!
  21. I always wished someone would come up with a detector that would send its signal through the radio. Sometimes I'm playing my radio too loud to hear the beep.
  22. Eek!!!!! Great tip.
  23. I thought about that. I actually had the leaf blower out to get the leaves out of the garage. I was tracking them into the house and my car. Crunched up leaves on black floor mats are not a pretty sight. I use an Absorber. Works great when it is warm, not when it is 43 degrees. I might get one of those blades. Maybe Santa will bring Lexie one.
