  2. Geesh, Bartkat! I thought my hubby and I were bad!!!! lol. I can't believe you remember them all........ For awhile I had a new car every model year. After 1971 we had two at a time. I liked the Firebird so much I kept it long time.
  3. The dealer will do the lock/unlock beep but not the others. I think you can find the seat belt warning turn off here in the forums.
  4. I had them and they heated up pretty good and then cycled on and off so they didn't overheat. You could easily feel the heat.
  5. I have black and my only complaint is that the carpet shows lint and stuff easily. It isn't any hotter than any other color and after almost 2 years I have no scratches. I use Lexol leather conditioner and just applied some over the weekend and observed that the leather is still perfect. I didn't like the lighter interiors because of the "two tone" affect it gives to the dash, etc.

  7. You can access the manual for your year at lexus.com by registering in the owners section.

  9. You can go to this link and download everything in the shop manuals. Costs $10 for 24 hours of downloading. http://techinfo.lexus.com/
  10. 1 and 2 have been discussed here. Search for "brake dust" . There is a TSB whereby the Lexus dealer will replace your front brake pads with "dust free" ones for free. Go to the homelink site and you will find much more info on programming garage openers. There are some posts here about that too. Is what broke, the lower engine cover? There are sites online where you can buy the Lexus parts or get one from the dealer and replace the panel yourself.
  11. I use Lexol vinyl and rubber dressing on mine. It comes in a kit with the leather cleaner and conditioners.
  12. The above is correct. Make sure you turn the cap a few clicks whe replacing after refuling. Also there are some hoses for the evap under the air filter box that go to the canister. Sometimes there may be a loose one or a leak.
  13. Reset your ECU by disconnecting the negative (black) battery terminal for 10 minutes. Then start up the car and drive normall for one tank of gas. Check the mileage on your second tank. Resetting should put your ECU to default (new car) settings and then it can learn quickly your driving habits. The default should give the best mileage and emissions settings.
  14. It's in the owners manual posted in the PDF files above the forum. It's been posted in numerous threads here. It's also in the paper manual you get with the car. Breaking in your new Lexus To extend the life of the vehicle, the following precautions are recommended to observe: For the first 186 miles (300 km): Avoid sudden stops. For the first 621 miles (1000 km): • Do not drive at extremely high speeds. • Avoid sudden acceleration. • Do not drive continuously in the low gears. • Do not drive at a constant speed for extended periods. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ost&id=3754
  15. 1.Insert a clip remover or a flat head screw driver, pop it upwards and disconnect the the engagement of the 2 front claws. 2.Pull the the center 3rd brake light assy towards you and disconnect the engagement of the 4 side claws. 3. Separate the connector, remove the 3rd brake light assy and replace the bulb.
  16. Use silicone seal and make sure you don't miss any spots.
  17. Which lamp, on the trunk lid or on the back of the fender?
  18. That doesn't sound normal. Is this happening wile accelerating on the highway or from a dead stop? Can you explain a little more thoroughly? We know two things. The 1-2 shift on some IS is sluggish. If you are making a standing start, traction control will kick in if you spin a wheel and that will seem like a serious bog. Otherwise what you're saying doesn't sound like a common problem.
  19. Does the IS250awd use the same filter and special tool as the IS350 and the IS250. Where can I buy one? I'm not sure. The oil filter cartidge has a different part number for the AWD. If the cannister is the same it's located at the bottom front of the engine. Look down at the engine right behind the radiator and you should be able to see the silver colored canister.
  20. Oil Change DIY http://my.is/forums/f87/how-change-oil-350...d=1#post4014700 http://my.is/forums/f87/350-oil-change-upd...d=1#post3982942
  21. Try putting a new battery in the remote.
  22. A guy who runs autocross had his pads changed and he says they are just as good in braking power. Sounds like the service guy just doesn't want to do it.
  23. Mine had heated seats and had the alcantra "suede". If the seating surfaces have a suede like texture, then it's alcantra. It it's smooth, then it's leather. $22,000 is way to high for that car. It would be high even if the car was still in new condition and had been kept in a barn.
