  1. Eeally, you should take it to either Toyota or Lexus for the oil changes in order to get the genuine parts. It could void your warranty if you don't have genuine Lexus parts in the car. I would definately not go out and just get any old filter. It is in a pretty tight spot but the dealer does it all the time and the cost is not that much different than anywhere else really.
  2. I have a 2002 IS300 bought new with around 130k on it and take excellent care of it other than the milage beating. This is the second time in 1-2 years that I have had the water gurgling noise that sounds like it flows right down under shifter. I always hear it as I accelerate from stopping point. Having it fixed prior, I now know what is wrong having looked back through my receipts from the dealer. It was recorded as air bubbles in coolant. What I want to know is why does it seem like it's happening more often than it should? What causes this to happen? Driving habits? Defective? Is it something I can fix myself? Please shed some light cause its rather annoying that I keep having to take it in to get fixed as if it was a yearly routine maintenance.
  3. As far as the garage door opener goes....it works best if you have someone in the garage to press the button on the overhead while you are in the car due to the fact that you only have 30 seconds or so to get back in the vehicle. When you have confirmation that they pressed the button (make sure they aren't holding it in), hold down your chosen one in the vehicle. When you do it should light up constant for a second then flash rapidly letting you know it programmed; then test it. It should work. This method is better than trying to do it from the remote to the homelink. Hope it helps!
  4. I have never experienced a problem like this with my '02. I bought my car new and since then put about 130k on it. I will, however, offer some advise regarding taking it to an independent mechanic. I for one have a nearby mechanic that my family has gone to for years and they actually honored the warranty. There are places that will do that but you have to ask. They either look it up or call in on it for the info so hope this helps! At least it offers another option to the "pay for it myself" burden. Good Luck!
  5. Mine have always heated up pretty good. It does take a little bit for them to heat up and after that, as said previously, they turn off and turn back on to keep the temp regulated as not to overheat. Also, obviously, if you turn them on being already extremely cold it will also seem as though it takes longer for them to start heating up. Overall very pleased with them.
