  1. Yep, that would be the first thing to check. Of course you have to have the igntion switch on or on "acc" before those sockets are energized.
  2. There was a TSB on the under panels too. That can be checked on.
  3. You need to hold the button for a few seconds.
  4. This sounds almost as good as the TRD FI upgrade for the IS300 that never happened. Color me skeptical.
  5. Lexus can tell you if there's anything wrong with the car. The TSB's should have already been done. I don't know if there was a time limit on that or not. The computer records will tell if it has.
  6. Use some quick detailer or some car wash soap and water.
  7. $12,000 to $13,000 would be a decent price, assuming all maintenace has been done on time. That's really low mileage for a 2001 so I expect it's in really good shape. If you can take it to a Lexus dealer they'll do a complete inspection for around $100. I think they do the same inspection they do when they take a car in trade so it's pretty good. There were some ECU and other TSB's that needed to be done on that year's model. If they were done they should be in the Lexus computer system. I'd get that checked too.
  8. Once you have all the old adhesive and the goo gone cleaned off and the surface is dry, then you should put the emblems back on.
  9. That's a good idea to clean the air intake sensors.
  10. Please try to keep all the related questions in one thread.
  11. IS300 is not bixenon, just xenon for reflector housings. I dunno how to test the ballast but if you swap bulbs from the other side and it doesn't flash blue and then light up, it's probably the ballast.
  12. There are a couple of ways to get the fog lights to run by themselves. Then you can have any other lights on you want, or just the fog lights. http://my.is/forums/f90/tutorial-how-do-te...ght-mod-228543/ http://my.is/forums/f90/how-alternate-fog-...-method-199809/ The second one is easier.
  13. Here ya go. http://my.is/forums/f90/how-change-license...-inside-174186/
  14. Could be the ballast. There's one under each headlight. The HID bulbs in the low beams are D2R
  15. Get auto trim adhesive at most any auto parts store.
  16. The above is free only if the car is in warranty. You have to pay parts and labor otherwise. There are ways to solve or get around the problem. Here's some possible help: http://my.is/forums/f115/pleas-help-asap-i...osition-352871/ http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=19433 http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...?showtopic=7960 http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=16984 http://my.is/forums/f93/ignition-stuck-acc...ition+key+stuck http://my.is/forums/f87/fixed-my-key-stuck...problem-173490/ http://my.is/forums/f87/cant-turn-ignition...ition+key+stuck
  17. I thought they just changed the programming in the steering ECU.
  18. If the car came with just touring tires and not Z rated or better tires, then Lexus would have set a limiter at 120. You'll have to get better tires and then get the limiter reset.
  19. This puts the manual in sections of related files.
