  2. Can you provide any facts to this statement? It is a known fact, do you want something in writing notarized from lexus? lol cause that's not going to happen. As you probably suspect, these are the type of things that people will not openly talk about... but yes it's true. It's also true for most GM vehicle's as well. Just exactly how does this work? We are aware that there are "black boxes" with event recorders on board and diagnostic info on board, but what kind of locator is there and how to they track it?
  3. You can go to the following link and download any and all of the tech manual for $10 for 24 hours of downloading. http://techinfo.lexus.com/
  4. Very good. I put a link to this in the "How To" sticky at the top of the page. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...st&p=328749
  5. It doesn't hurt to have a fun thread once in a while. ri*BLEEP*hen7 is well known for his sense of humor.
  6. I get my filters from http://www.irontoad.com/ and also get the air and cabin filters from them.
  7. Sure. It would be good to have that on this site.
  8. As a guy, maybe you shouldn't be so careless in taking the suitcase out of the trunk! ;)
  9. You might want to have one of the tires pulled off and check inside to make sure there is no sensor.
  10. You can buy them for a lot less from Sewell Lexus or other discount Lexus parts places. But you do have to take the car to a Lexus dealer to get the sensors entered into the car's computer. There are usually some on Ebay but I can't say how good they are. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus-Scion...2QQcmdZViewItem
  11. I only notice bad dusting after driving in the rain. Then is smears all over the wheels.
  12. If all the TPMS sensor stems are like mine, then yes they are missing. Most tire shops always put new valves. I wouldn't think a shop wouldn't know about sensors but it's possible.
  13. If they changed tires the sensors should have just stayed in the wheels. They may have damaged one or got something on it so it doesn't work. The valve stems with the senors are metal as opposed to ordinary stems that are rubber. You could check that. Or maybe reset the car's ECU by disconnecting the negative (black) battery wire for 10 minutes and then reconnecting.
  14. Anybody? Quixx Scratch Remover For Wood Trim And Exterior Paint http://clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3390136 I haven't tried it on wood, but I did use it where I had a little clearcoat scratch on my roof and with time and patience it worked out real well. There's a mild abrasive paste for blending the scratch and then a polish for shining the surface up again afterwards. I ordered it here and it came in just a couple days. http://www.quixxusa.com/
  15. Go to this forum. Explain your setup and problem in detail. Someone there can likely help you out. They're all about boost. http://my.is/forums/f114/
  16. If you live where it snows much you'll need snow tires. I think there are several discussion threads here about those.
  17. The transmission cooler lines are separate and run all the way to the radiator. I think you're safe to by bypass the heater core. I did that once on another car where the heat wouldn't shut off. 17.pdf
  18. I don't know if it's in this or not but you can download and see. http://cid-beed1edcf9f1b180.skydrive.live....00|_2001-05.rar Or go here https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInfoPortal/...o.toyota.com%2F Sign up and pay $10 for 24 hrs of downloads. The entire tech manual should be there.
  19. Luckily I haven't had a vehicle broken in since someone stole my CB radio out of my almost new F100 pickup back in '76. Knock on wood.
  20. Have the police been involved?
  21. Is there coolant running to the tansmission oil cooler? Could the leak be in one of those lines? 29.pdf
  22. Here's the way it's done. ac_charging.pdf
  23. Sounds good to me.
