  1. You need the optional receiver. Sirrius is also a provider. Don't know if they are installing them in new cars yet.
  2. Do you have a link to the specific item you are quoting from? Here's a thead with some info on HID kits that some people are using. http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=28764...ghlight=hid+kit
  3. We used to put straight 40 or 50 weight oil in Chrysler flathead sixes just to keep the oil pressure up after they warmed up. Also had to add a quart or two every 1000 miles or so. Bought the stuff in 2 gallon cans and kept it in the trunk. As for Castrol, I haven't used any other oil brand in any motors for 35 or 40 years. Never ever had a problem with any of those engines. Back in the day theirs was the only oil that didn't gum up and carbon up the engines on our dirt bikes. When oil injected motors came along, Castrol synthetic was the absolute best. Ain't nobody gonna convince me that Castrol isn't good stuff.
  4. Quite some time ago word was that Lexus had dropped the aftermarket exhaust idea. That's when LMS decided to come out with their version.
  5. I checked my IS350 this afternoon and the little roller knobs will close the center vents off completly.
  6. LMS makes a true dual exhaust. It's the only one I know of that's for sure available. http://my.is/store/customer/product.php?pr...5&cat=47&page=1
  7. There's a separate knob for opening and closing. The slats themselves are only for directing the flow.
  8. You'd appreciate them where I live in the UK, but as you colonials only drive in straight lines I don't suppose they're very useful After all these years the BBC still hasn't told you?
  9. Nope. I think the driver seat is very comfortable. I haven't heard any complaints from other drivers either. Maybe adjusting the steering wheel will help.
  10. If you upload the pics to a site like www.photobucket.com for hosting, then you can link to it here. Like this. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/bartkat/DCP_0229.jpg
  11. It can be. I just kept forgetting to shift up, since I don't have the shift knob like a manual car..... You can shift up and down by pushing the shift lever forward and back. I could do that too, if only I remembered!!! lol. I know it's there but I never think to use it either.
  12. How much can you get off MSRP on one of them? How much is payments?
  13. Can you post pix of the bentley ? Sure would be nice to see that machine. I caught up with a Bentley once when I was driving to Florida. I thought it was a modified old model Chevy till I got close enough to see the emblems. :D

  15. What's the story behind that one?
  16. Here's the Edmunds page that shows the optional packages and what comes with them. http://www.edmunds.com/new/2006/lexus/is35...ion=1&x=68&y=16
  17. Nice. I love the gear ratios. Shifts at about 6500, and only drops back to about 5500, then quickly to 6500 and shift, etc. Stays in the power band.
  18. Get a 350 and then laugh when they ask about the ticking and they're breathing your exhaust.
  19. They used to be. Not anymore.
  20. I don't like a shiny nor greasy feel, is lexol any of those? what other products do you recommend that are not greasy or shiny, how about that poor boy's? TIA Lexol leaves no oily residue, and does not add shine. In fact my black leather is a nice mat finish with the Lexol conditioner. I haven't used any other leather products, but took the recommendation of several other IS owners and am quite happy with it. I also used their plastic and rubber conditioner on all the rubber seals around the doors, hood, and trunk. I think you can even use it on the tires. I got the three item kit from Autogeeks. http://www.autogeek.net/lexolkit.html
  21. Lexol works great on IS350 leather. Why mess around and take chances and extra expense?
  22. If its just dry dust a California duster works well. I have one Ive used for 12 years now, on black, white, blue and now matador red, and its still going strong. Just brush it lightly over the car to remove dust and then sweep the entire car in one direction for a final clean.
  23. That sounds about the same. I've only run mine till the fuel light comes on one time. I figure it had approx 2.5 gallons left. The tank MPG guage is usually about 1 MPG low compared to my calculated fill up MPG so the range would probably also read around 20 - 30 MPG when fuel light comes on.
  24. Take a table knife or something thin and wide like that. Put it barely the least bit under the gray bezel toward the rear and pry down gently. You'll be pulling down the housing and not just the lens. Once you get it down you'll see how it goes back on. Insert prongs at the front and swing the housing up till the clips at the rear click in.
  25. Some gas will make it smell that way. It happens on IS300's too. There's really nothing wrong.
