Could it be repaired? Maybe some of that Heat shrink that can be wrapped around the tube?

welcome aboard, and enjoy your ride....lots to learn and share on this site..

God Bless you, sorry for your loss, You are very lucky to have that relationship, I didnt meet my Grandfather until I was in my late thirties....He was a wonderful man, shame my Dad decided family was not important and excluded them out of our life. I now have 9 Grandbabies and cherish every moment with them...My children will never have to experience what I did...Family is first along with your God....The rest will follow in line.

2013 Lexus Es Shows Up Undisguised In China
lenore replied to gatoman39's topic in 07 - 12 Lexus ES350
that thing is uggggggly.....Like the old ES better.... -
Sure happy Obama signed that pipeline deal....Good job...

I found when I switched to a full synthetic that the fluid stayed pristine...I used Mobil 1 Full synthetic tranny fluid....Others have used Amsoil, and Royal purple....
-
We on the RX forum generally recommend 15k tranny fluid changes....may be overkill, but he bill for new tranny is not kind.
-
The P0300 is a missfire code....Maybe one of the coil packs is starting to go bad. The original plugs are good generally for 125k miles....The 1135 should be addressed....I wouldnt replace thermostat with those codes that you have...My 99RX300 had the original thermostat when I sold it and it had 188k miles...
-
Note: many times when that code is shown you loose fourth gear in the transmission as the car goes into limp mode...once the sensor is changed the tranny acts normally afterwards....
-
We only recommend a drain and fill. More people have had problems with a flush afterwards...Make sure to use Toyota Type IV fluid or and alternate synthetic such as Mobil 1 Transmission fluid or AMsoil.
-
Have you shared the error codes....sometimes the coolent sensor error comes up and it is not the problem...As for the thermostat make sure it has the bleed valve in it, only a couple of aftermarket ones do. As for a flush, no, just drain and fill but use Toyota Red or Toyota pink fluid. they are expensive, but you will be good to go for 5 years or 150k miles....

89 Or 93 Octane Gas For Lexus Rx300 - What Is Everyone Using
lenore replied to FloridaRX's topic in General Chat
here in california I use 91 octane. I question why change fuel filter....It is inside the fuel tank and generally from what I have heard and read on these sites should never need replacement unless someone has contaminated your fuel tank. Also please note: the Air fuel sensors should only be replaced with Original equipment ones as the Bosch ones are not generally happy in these engines. Make sure it is a Denso air fuel sensor. -
What the heck, they already make our uniforms, and other military stuff....Hope we test the stuff....

here is your beer....as told on cheers..... 'Well you see, Norm, it's like this . . . A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.' hope they didnt use the same injectors as on my 2005 F150,.....Two catallytic converters later and two injectors, six to go. Yea I know they put a diesel in it...just kidding....Remember when Japan was copying everything back in the 50's....for you more mature folks....

Maybe they are preparing for the IOU's that the US owes them in loans.....Pretty soon they will own the US.....

Enjoy the car, the 90k mark is typical for a big service....good luck and welcome aboard...

Several different problems....The door (drivers) lock actuator is probably bad. Many threads on this on the RX300 forums.......As for the windows could have some broken wires in the wire harness going thru the door hinge area....That was a problem on a Camry that I just bought recently....Envolves taking door apart and pulling harness out to check for broken wires. At that same time you could replace the drivers door lock actuator....Good luck
-
that trick does work, however many have only experienced tempory relief...Best way is to take the IACV apart and clean it. Also I would suggest making sure the PCV valve is clean....
-
Cleaning the maf sensor is easy, just buy INtake and Maf sensor cleaner in the spray can....I would not use compressed air as it might break the wires....As for synthetic, my thought is use it for the smog check because of less hydrocarbons in the mix...but I may be way off. As for using it, mechanics are old fashiioned, many on this site and others have switched at high mileage and had no problems...If it bothers you dump it and switch back to dino oil after a successful smog check....either weight oil is probably fine. A high mileage oil on a high mileage engine might be a good thing...hopefully somebody will chime in.

there is a vacuum line diagram under the hood by the latch, look up....
-
I believe the light thing is ok as long as they turn it on and see that the indicator works for check engine....I hate going to those smog places, makes my stomach nervous even on newer cars...I feel like a little black cloud is going to rain on me....I take care of mother-in-laws car and it failed 4 times in last 10 years...I had to fix it each time except this last time...She is low income and the state bought her car for recycler for $1500 so I found a 8 year newer car (Toyota Camry 1995) that passed smog with no prep....and get this the clouds opened for me it cost $1500 plus sales tax....I am so happy for her, and me because my wrenching on her car has been cut significantly.....Good luck my friend...make sure to look for coupons also for the smog checks, they can be found in local newspapers, pennysaver, etc. Every dollar counts....

Need Some Opinions, Got Some Time To Figure This Out...
lenore replied to ArmyofOne's topic in The Club Lounge
Thank you again for your service. Josh make sure to keep your options open...However I want to remind you that your trauma that you experienced shoudl be recorded as a disability in your military records, this is very important. That is a key in future employment as well as a benefit in many states...Here in California your offspring could attend State colleges for free if you have a military disability...This may be available in other states...Someday you will look back and realize that the experience you have now will be an asset to your ability to excell. Best of luck to you and your wife...God Bless. -
If you can find a mechanic to follow the above procedure your problem will probably dissappear. Most places want to replace the IACV assembly which could be expensive....Anyway good luck..

Maybe your timing belt broke and you are jamming it going in one direction and not in the other direction. Have you removed the cover to see if the belt is broken?

tkhis is probably your problem, read the thread and learn about cleaning it. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7408&hl=iacv
