  1. haha you are right.. that solved the vacuum line issue.. working on the coolant hoses now . never worked on my car before.. so its an experience in itself! as long as it dont blow up or something when i goto start it i suppose.. thx a ton!
  2. was following the diy spark plug for change of rear spark plugs on my 2000 rx300.. took my time too.. been over 3 weeks.. mostly because after i had the car opened up it.. weather decided it was time for rain in texas.. hasnt rained all yr! anyways.. removed the throttle body / intake plenum ... and have got them back on.. but stuck on hoses and vacuum connections.. i marked them with colored tapes since i was hoping to finish it in a couple of days max... but most of the tapes are now peeled off and have left me in a fix as to where which hose or which vacuum line goes... is there any diagram i can refer to ensure i get everything back on in order.. ? thanks! ad
  3. i need to get the timing belt changed on my lexus.. im looking for some help with that.. anyone has any experience.. what are the recommended brands...? is GMB any good.. i found a GMB belt +tensioners + idler+ water pump on ebay.... shud i go for that..or is there another brand that goes with lexus better.. what and how much does the belt quality matter...i have very little experience with cars.. xcept driving:) .. ty in advance
  4. Funky- I have tried the "universal" sensor that you are showing and no they are not "click out and click in"- and also they didn't work. They were Denso but even though they assured me they were the correct ones, I believe the reason they didn't work is because they were probably oxy.sensors rather than air/fuel ratio sensors which is probably what you are thinking of. The sensors on front and rear exhaust manifolds are a/f ratio sensors and the (one) sensor behind the cat.con. is an oxy. sens. Read my answer to the post a couple from this for more info. Y/T Roger thanks roger. appreciate the help. i am a newb when it comes to cars :)
  5. just curious..im thinking about changing my oxygen sensors..should i just buy the replacement sensors and use the old clip.... or do i have to buy the new sensors with the new clips....arent the old clips just click out and click in for the new sensor?
