  1. $50 for a set of Clear Corners isn't bad. Nopi has them listed for $78. Has anybody found Clear corners w/ LEDs in them?
  2. Perhaps you could share with us which warning light(s) is appearing on your dash? Maybe one of us can just spit it out.
  3. that's actually a good point as well. Alicia, you might want to check that out as well.
  4. got any pics?
  5. You could probably use the Lexus Part number at Toyota. Have you tried radio Shack? Some bulbs might be available there.
  6. nah, you don't need to rebuild your motor. Maybe your tranny, but it looks normal with ECT (ON). You could look into having your Torque converter adjusted.
  7. Well it sounds like my LS. Slow. How many miles do you have on your LS? I think it might be rebuild time.
  8. Not bad. I think you might have been able to get a few more miles per gallon if it wasn't stop and go type of driving, but what can you do.
  9. Well you're not that far away from where I am. If your batt light comes on, you might want to have it tested. Walmart, pepboys advanced auto have testers. if you can't your welcomed to bring it to where I work @ Jim Coleman Infiniti in Bethesda. You should also check the Power Steering Fluid level, see it there's anything in there. Start with those things first, and we'll take it from there.
  10. Definitely find out what codes are being scanned. You may find this information useful. http://uktoyotaestimasite.tripod.com/obdcodes.htm#obtaincode
  11. Have you talked to the Service department about changing the location or the software?

well I have to agree with SRK, but if you think you want to tackle such a job be prepared to complete the job throughly. Our great Toyota Blocks require you to bring the block back to factory specs, otherwise you may experience problems. Perhaps you could describe some of the problems you're experiencing right now, and we'll try to answer some of them.
  13. Take some Orange Blast, Simply Green or Lysol and spray into the vents directly under your wiper blades. Run the AC on high and re-apply the procedure a few more times. Every now an then you might need to do it again. It's caused by mildew.
  14. You could also rebuild the motor and keep it running another 300k. Just for kicks, I ran an autotrader search and the only car I found for $6k was a 96 ES300, and these on cars.com
  15. Yeah, it is a rare car to come across. It took me a year to find mine, and it had 170k on it. I paid $6k for mine since it had problems. Do an unlimited mileage search on autotrader. There's usually a couple of them in Cali and maybe Texas. good luck
  16. Guys, most of the bodykit prices listed on this thread rage from $1500-3000. The more expensive prices are for complete kits, which includes front and rear lower spoilers, and side skirts. Rear deck-lid spoilers usually cost an additional $400-1000 depending on design. We will try to get you the best price, but most of us do not buy kits in bulk. If you're interested in buying a kit, then let me know. If you're just surfing for prices or just curious I won't be able to get you an accurate number because my vendor gives me a 48hour price. Mr Sypher has a similar pricing policy. Good luck.
  17. I believe the Rod Millen Intake is using a K&N Filter. It seems a little expensive to me. JD owen is right, you won't see that much difference if any with the performance of your car. The colder and more dense air can only be found at the bottom of your car and near the radiator. If you can create a large enough duct to carry the air to your intake it will be more productive.
  18. Also check the Fan Bracket--Fan/clutch is connected to the Engine. I had to change the one on my LS.
  19. 13/5 isn't a bad price for this car. Don't know what the options are onboard, but it's something I might buy. I would also recommend having the Local Lexus dealer conduct a Pre delivery inspection to make sure everything is fully functional before you put money down. You can use the report to bargain with the lady.
  20. Couldn't it be the fan clutch or something else that might be loose that you're feeling?
  21. Wow, Audi, BMW and the LS. That's a tough call. I've driven all three a month ago, and all three of them are exquisite rides. If I was break them down, I'd steer towards the LS for Luxury, and Performance and Reliability towards all three. For your family I'd go with the LS, unless you live in a snow state like a lot of us. Then I'd think about the Audi w/AWD.
  22. What are your stop times? It would be nice to see some pics.
  23. It sounds like a connection is poor. Does your radio light-up while the temp is cold?
  24. Sorry to hear about your incident as well. I think going with one colour all the way is nice. BTW have you talked to the insurance company to see how much they're offering to fix the problem? I also think repainting the entire car would be better, since the good painter will extend the painting scheme to an area where no one will notice the paint difference. This is one of the reasons why insurance companies don't like to deal with body shops any more. The $3-5k Price is mostly related to removing and repairing any physical damage to the body, and removing individual parts so that the painters can spray without covering up.
  25. You're going to have to reseal it. Take it apart and reseal it with a good Sealer, maybe from 3M or something better. Go through PlanetSoarer.com, I believe they have a good brand listed. This time, you might want to let it seal overnight.
