  1. pepboys/advanced auto/autozone. Question is will you like them? too bad you're not local. I have the whole braking system i wanted to get rid of cheap.
  2. it should fit like a glove. The 97s should also fit if you're interested in upgrading.
  3. it still sounds like the alternator. the wiring issue, headlight and Fuel fuse-don't know about. You don't need a new MAF or ECU. Both of them would give you codes. It sounds like you have a leak. Is your car leaking from underneath, and when you turnover your engine do you hear anything else? I'd start with a new/rebuilt alternator, maybe a new starter(depending on how many times your have to turn it). You can stop by Toyota and order those two. I wouldn't spend time with PepBoys or Napa parts. They don't last long.
  4. I replaced mine a while back. It was a pain especially with big arms. I gave up after a while and took it to someone else.
  5. it can be fixed, but I'd suggest replacing all of your mounts on the engine and Transmission so that you don't have to worry about it.
  6. you should also be able to use a floorjack as well. I am surprised you're required to compress the springs at all. Mine just came out.
  7. It's probably a transmission mount. It's a pretty common problem amongst high mileage cars.
  8. it sounds like it's the engine mounts. I had the tranny mounts, and it was a real pain in the
  9. Mine used to as well. It's goes with age.
  10. Now I on the other hand did get rid of the my 94 LS. I've spent too much on it and when I sold it, I didn't make up the difference. I did end up financing a Used car with an extended warranty. It will eventually boil down to how you want to use your car. A daily commuter with the occasional family trip or weekend/family car with the occasional commute. My SC totally different view. I'll never sell it, and will probably spend $$$$$ into it. :chairshot: My way of balancing life.
  11. I don't think Halos have been made for the LS. you could send out your lights for custom LED strips to be installed. I've used this company a few times and have seen their work. They are expensive but pretty good. ClearCorners
  12. Eagle33: you should plan an ad on the buy and Sell Forum. Gives others a chance to look at what you're selling. You can look at what else is being sold by other members. Don't forget to add some pics so that you can show us the condition of the ECU module-some close up of the connector(s) and sockets, and possibly a price you're interesting in selling it for. Good Luck UCF3 Moderator Lexusownersclub.com
  13. OneAviator: What post did you see that on? Do you mind pasting the link? thanks
  14. I believe that's what's needed. Why do you want to remove it all together? don't you think you'll need it down the road? It is a pretty big and heavy car.
  15. nah, it looks like it's right next to the battery. I pull this off of Cardomain. http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/show...229_10_full.jpg
  16. Stainless Steel. Try on YouTube. I've come across of number of manufacturers including a magnaflow and Flowmaster that sound incredible. My choice is still the HKS Dragger I, but it may sound different on the V8. Planning to do a custom exhaust Setup?
  17. drivers side front corner-next to Battery
  18. ok, the first thing you have to do is dry off the essential parts. if you have a air hose, blow out as much air from the spark plugs and distributor cap. also blow some air around your MAF sensor near the airbox. If you don't have a hose, you've gotta let it dry-off naturally-leave the bonnet up and let it out for some sunlight. If it's cold outside like it is around here, leave it in the garage and let it dry out by itself. eventually it will vaporize.
  19. My son is a detailer and he uses "WSR1 Bio-Clean" Water Stain Remover. Manufactured by C.R. Laurence Co. It is easy to use and gives excellent results. thanks, I'll look it up. --Isn't this the same stuff as CLR?
  20. My mirrors work like a charm, and I have checked the fuse and swapped the relay with the headlight relay without changing the way the headlights work. I took out the trunk lining and found things in there are easy to work on, but no heater wires. I suspect they are on the sides of the window and I need to take things apart around the window trim. I spent too much time teaching a Datsun roadster owner about his car so I did not start that project. Next week..... Let us know how it warms up. a Datsun 2k-impressive
  21. Hi. If You have it yet email me with price .My email address is zbom@bellsouth.net. Thanks. If you're selling it please post in the Buy/Sell Forum. Provide us with a description and the price. Pictures will also help sell your product. UCF3 Moderator LexusOwnersClub.com
  22. Not really needed. PM the your link and I'll Merge the two.
  23. excellent suggestion everybody. Now here's something new to discover. water spots on windshield that do not want to come out or fill. I've applied a polish to the surface, ran it with a buffer etc. Some filled but others remain. Any solutions other than replacing the glass?
  24. Are you getting Hot air when your in Motion? There is a heater duct valve that's controlled by your Climate Control. Look for something on the Pass-side midrange engine bay for that. You should be able to manually open the cover.
