  1. You can recondition the wheels for a few hundred dollars. Suggest getting all of them reconditioned so that the paint matches. Is your highbeam housing showing condensation after a rainshower? Depending on that, Perfect it should do the trick.
  2. You might need to be patient when you replace the vacuum cable.
  3. Welcome to the Club. So you want the Hazard lights to be converted to Day-time running Lights? Don't you want Turn signals anymore?
  4. This is definitely going to be a limited Production car. Don't know which one to love more this or the GT-R.
  5. have you searched through the forums? We've talked about issue before.
  6. There are fuel stations that don't sell the Ethenol mix! Where?
  7. Doesn't the garnish pull out? I thought it was held on with clips.
  8. I'm leaning towards the strut rod bushings. Does your trac light come on when you're taking high speed right/left turn? I would lean towards the lower ball joints in that case, and the struts in general-do the Corner Bounce test(push-down the corner bumpers and measure how long it takes to stop bouncing). I don't know if you took your car to a Lexus dealer, but I trust the words of a Lexus tech or a Certified Toyota Master Tech. They should have the badges on their uniforms.
  9. I don't blame you. My original F-Body racecar was a turbo diesel. Glad I'm not racing it anymore. 76 increased track rates to $6.7 for diesels. Congrats to all on reaching the high mileage club. I'm just glad we have enough Toyota/Lexus cars passing the likes of Mercs and Beamers.
  10. i have 199,720,still running strong on my 94 ls400!!!i have a co-worker who always test me on the hwy with his acura tl,but can't keep up with me!!i tell him:in pursuit of perfection!!!!qouted fromlexus!ha,ha,ha!!!!!!! :P That's good. I like that answer.
  11. You're moving to Alaska? :) I wouldn't sell mine. We may have a post on the Buy and Sell forum on what to do. I'd start by replacing your engine oil, service your battery(Walmart/AutoZone) and rotate your tires/inflate to the proper amount. I don't believe it's wise to re-paint your car because most people want to look at the true look of your car, and you'll be paying close to $2k for a decent paint job. Not worth it to me. You could pay for a paintless dent removal, but be selective to which one you want to remove. depending on the size of the ding/dent you should pay below $2-300 with the average ones being around $49. taking a bunch of pictures of a thoroughly detailed car(visit the Detail Forum), inside, seats, mileage, exterior from different angles, Engine bay, shot of how much tire tread is left and post it on our Buy and Sell Forum. Then you may want to take up an ad on Cars.com or Autotrader(optional). Cars.com offers a free renewable service where you can keep your ad displayed for months @ a time. Autotrader doesn't but their ads usually show up on Ebay(more exposure). You could also take up an ad on CraigsList.org, but be very careful and thoroughly read the Disclosure Notice. Don't be a victim of Fraud. Finally, think of a realistic price you want to sell it at. Visit Kbb.com, NADA.com, and Blackbook.com. Come up with an average price for a good condition vehicle. I took my LS to Carmax and got an estimate. It was extremely low, and I felt like kicking him to the curb for quoting me that, but you should expect to pay $1000-1500 over what they quote you. Good luck, you've got a little work/$$ to prep your car.
  12. tough call. I'd just replace the stock unit with something aftermarket or rebuild the stock unit.
  13. very nice 'whip'. You should upload more pictures to our LOC Galllery.
  14. Just out of curiosity did this low pressure happen after you took it to the mechanic or before? Perhaps you want to do a brake-flush.
  15. Beautiful car, but you may not find a buyer interested in it for some time. So why don't you just keep it and buy an econo-box for you commute? I only drive my SC on weekends use my I35 the rest of the time.
  16. It might be the aftermarket clutch itself. I dropped a Clutchmaster street version on my SC and it failed after a year. I ended up buying a toyota clutch and installed it with a new rear-main steal and Toyota transmission fluid, haven't had a problem for the past 2 years. What's the condition of your Flywheel?
  17. Private Message me, and we can talk about it a bit more.
  18. you don't need it.
  19. Yes those are the right part #`s They will fit your 93 SC. Those are the same ones I got from Carson Toyota. They fit 93,94,95.& 96. they should. You can ask the Toyota Parts guy to verify if the same part numbers show up for the earlier year. Take your Production Date info., just in case it's needed.
  20. I haven't done one before, but you took off the pillar covers and there weren't any screws?
  21. PIAAs and Hellas will work, but wiring it to the stock Foglight switch didn't work very well. I'd opt for the Low Beam HID swap like old_s13 mentioned, or a complete conversion if you can afford it with the HELLA dual beam projector.
  22. As in from clearcorners.com, or after-after markets from ebay?
  23. I haven't come across anything like that. Most of the people usually get them tinted or use that spray can junk.
  24. Best way to troubleshoot this problem is: attempt to start your car. If it clicks but won't turn over, clean your battery terminals with battery cleaner. It's not a bad think to have it tested as well. Walmart, pepboys, they use testing kits, and chances are they'll want to test it before they replace it. In order to start the car, just keep on trying to turn it over, rapidly; it will turn over once. If it does, then it's a bad starter, otherwise it;s you battery.
  25. I saw your question in the Pinned thread as well. I don't know of the top of my head. Just call up the local Toyota/Lexus dealer and ask for the parts department, or just walk into the dealer go to parts and ask them for a parts quote. I do that all the time.
