Hello good people of the forum world! I've got a situation on my hands. My car wasn't starting up even with a fully charged battery, so I applied some throttle while starting the car and was able to get it running. Then, I'd noticed that the engine wanted to die again as soon as I let go of the throttle, so I kept my foot on it a bit longer; SMOKE started coming from behind the engine so I quickly turned off the ignition.

Please help me out here. The battery is fully charged. I can't test the alternator because the car won't start and when it does- there is smoke. I'm guessing that there is some sort of cable issue somewhere back there but I have no idea where to start. What should I do? Where do I start? And why is there smoke?

I really appreciate any kind of help.

Hi Farzam.

That is a stumper. I don't have an answer for you but others might come along who can give you some ideas.
