What's the advice for leaving RX450h in garage for a year or more (without starting it). Detach battery? or not? Will the hybrid batteries die? After returning for 1 month without operating it, I found the computer had shut down all power by itself. It started fine. No changes.

The conclusion, then, is that the rx450h batteries do NOT contain lithium-ion.

I should have recharged my original 2011 battery made in Japan (start up battery, not hybrid batteries). Now I have replaced it 3 times with after market batteries that last 6 months or less. How do I find made in Japan main battery for 2011 RX450h?

I only want my remote to unlock and lock doors, NOT to release/open the back door. I want to avoid ruining my Lexus rear door if I accidentally open the rear door with the wrong push of my remote. If I then open/close my automatic garage door by mistake, there goes the door, paint scratched and dents galore! Thanks!

Hi all: I have original 12V battery as well, and It still starts the vehicle just fine, except the headlights must be OFF. The radio will not operate past 5 seconds when vehicle is not turned on. I ordered a new OEM Toyota battery on eBay, but it was damaged in transit. Bummer! Any other sources for an OEM battery?
