Just Bought A 2001 Lx470

Hi, I am new to the forum; I just bought a used 2001 LX470.

I wanted to introduce myself and get some advice from the forum.

First off, the amp (ML) seems to be out; I am aware this is a defect with this year and model. I have located it under the seat but have not removed it. I found replacements on Ebay as well as know of repairs services. I would like to get any advice on which way to go and if anyone knows whether it is feasible for me to repair it myself?

Secondly, Floor liners or mats? weathertech or cheap mats or something else?
