mnesbit
I own a 95 LS 400. I noticed a banner on the website by Performance Chips. They are promoting chips for many cars including the LS400. They claim improved gas mileage and up to 50 more HP at the wheel. Has anybody installed one of these and what were the results as far as MPG and HP increase? SRK
Ask them where the chip is on the LS400. I don't think they'll know. Which means they are BS artists, and bad ones at that. 50 horsepower at the rear wheels. I don't think so.
jcrome04
I don't believe there are any "performance chips" for the LS
aarman4
I have seen similar that are actually a wired product with a resistor which goes in place of your 02 sensors. Heaps of camel dung no matter which way you look at it.
billydpowell
their are about 3 different chips around, but I have never heard of one doing anything for the LS400. other than reducing your bank balance.... camel dung.... sounds correct to me.. save your money.. dcfish
I bought 2 of them and soldered them together and now I get 1000 horsepower at the rear wheels You guys have to know there is no chip that will do anything except empty your wallet......................... ;)
curiousB
Save your money. I doubt the Lexus engineers intentionally left out 50HP because of a software optimization.... Maybe 0.5 HP could be gained but 50HP, get real.

Maybe 0.5 HP could be gained but 50HP, get real. actually a piggyback fuel controller has shown gains of up to 30-40rwhp when tuned properly on the 1st gen 1UZ engine. too bad these "chips" are worthless garbage since lexus never made an ECU that used replaceable ROM chips.
