Actually cloth is preferred in japan, thats why they have cloth seats. its taken Toyota 13 years to figure out that Americans have no interest in a Lexus with cloth seats. The original LS400 had cloth standard...

Hey now bbsal; take it easy on the cloth seats. I happen to like the cloth in my car; it wears MUCH better than leather, plus it looks alot sportier in my car thanit does in that Windom, b/c mine's got diagonal stripes up and down em. They grip ya alot better too, and they don't get so hot and cold in the bad seasons, plus if nothin else, they set my car apart from every other ES. Oh well; I guess opinions are like *BLEEP*s; everyone's got one : P.

cloth is good in some cars. i personally wouldnt want cloth in a luxury car. i like sitting on a dead cow
