davematthews-S4 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 I need to replace these rotors and was wondering is if it would be better to buy some aftermarket ones or the OEM ones.
SKperformance Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 I love oem quality but bembros are even better to me.
southernsc300 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Brembo if you have the $$$. or you can do an LS400 brake upgrade. It might cost you in the range of 400-500. MUCH better braking.
blueviol Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 would the LS400 brake upgrade fit the 16 inch Lexus BBS wheels on my 95 SC400? I had a feeling that the LS400 upgrade is the same as that of Supra Turbo and it required more than 17 inch wheels to clear. Thanks.
davematthews-S4 Posted September 30, 2004 Author Posted September 30, 2004 yes, please more info on the LS upgrade. Thanks,
southernsc300 Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 i dont believe so. they calipers are the same size as the Supra TT upgrade. http://www.intellexual.net/faq.html#029 Theres a list of brake upgrades and sizes, im pretty sure you will have to upgrade your wheels inorder for them to fit. I dont think they will fit the 16" wheels. sorry
BMAN1113 Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Go with Brembos drilled, not slotted, with Rotex Gold pads...nice!! They really arent all that expensive. My front Brembos ran $140.00. Front Rotex pads were $55.00.
bean_8044 Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 The LS400 upgrade is an upgrade, but the Supra TT 4-pots are a better buy. If youre going to upgrade, spend the extra $200 for the supra 4-pots. No way they are going to clear the 16" rims and some 17's.
