Probably going to take some HEAT for saying this, but it's the truth: I've gone thru two dash cams very quickly and finally gave up the notion that electronics operated above the dashboard will last very long. Computer chips/components generate a lot of heat due to higher clock speeds. Add to that temperatures near 150 F in direct sunlight, and you have a situation where components age quicker than they would sitting on your stereo/TV shelf. A good practice is to keep a bright reflective dash or windshield cover in use after parking outside. And always park facing the car away from the sun. That also reduces the heat build up on your seats and seat-backs which in turn reduces wear on the seat fabric. Just whistling past the junk yard.

One running lamp is brighter than the other. I have replaced both bulbs to unsure they are the same and the problem persists. Any ideas?? 208 Lexus GX470

The LS500 exhaust system has two GPF (gasoline particulate filters). These cars seem to have a propensity for emitting white exhaust smoke in cold weather. Could this be due to the gasoline particulate filters that Lexus uses on the 3.4 twin turbo V6?

Sorry, I’m referring to the old conventional one-piece spin-on type that most cars have used for decades like my 2002 LS430 uses.

Any thoughts on why 23LJ01 (2nd Key Fob program) is not listed as a service campaign on the status/health tabs of the Lexus app? I have reported to the NHTSA as I see this as a safety/security issue. The digital key is very glitchy and could leave one stranded. Lost phone or dead phone battery or dead spot could also leave one locked out and stranded. Lexus should have, at the least, provided a lower tech card key as a backup.

What are so mods I can do for a Lexus RC 350

O2 sensors changed. still no help with rough idle. car starts fine. Lexus claims it's due to faulty fuel injector system flooding the right cylinder bank. they claim fuel injection system is unavailable. any ideas? spent about $4500 to fix and still have the problem could you a little advice. thx / Rog

A bit of an update. Have had the LS460 on a battery tender all winter. Car hasn't been driven for about 35 days, prior to unplugging the tender. Took it off two weeks ago as I was going away and didn't want to plugged in while I was gone. Got back, measured the battery voltage, still at 12.67 after 14 days just sitting. So the good news is, for longer term sits the car must go into a deeper sleep than what I was first measuring. Once it has sat un-driven for a month or so, the draw must drop to nearly nothing as 12.67 is virtually a fully charged battery. If the draw had remained at even 40 Milliamps, it would have drawn it down more than that. So a battery in good condition, and a car stored in heated indoor storage, no alarm armed, appears to be able to sit for very l;ong periods of time without flattening the battery.

Good point. I often can find an electronic version of the service manual, but there are cases when only article/video comments are found. I guess we can say that those should be taken "with a grain of salt". Thanks for your comments.

Report this to NHTSA as a safety and security issue. Lexus not sharing all the info, campaign is no longer listed on the app. I think they are trying to stuff the digital key down our throats, glitchy and unsafe as it is. Its all about profit.......

I have a 2024 NX350H and I haven't noticed undue pressure needed. It does have to be pressed a fair bit -- probably much more than what it takes for the brake lights. Have you done a distance measure of the brake pedal to see the difference between brake lights and shifting? I'll have to check mine.

I am really interested in great car audio. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to set the treble, bass and midrange as well as how to balance the speakers to get the best sound from the driver's seat?

Hi I am new to this group i own two Lexus 2014 RX350 and recently purchased 2021 NX350AWD and having problem with my 2021 NX350 rearview camera try to get the problem solve with Lexus in past 4 months and still have no clear answer from Lexus if they are going to fix it. Rearview camera is defected not functioning when put on reverse and screen is blank which is part of Lexus safety future when backup i don't know where to turn after four months try to get it fix but Lexus keep telling that camera part 67B0F6021 Camera Assy is in back order and every time i call they keep saying that still backorder but continue promising new ETA of the camera, if anyone can direct me to better way to get Lexus attention and looking to my issued i greatly appreciate the reply and input.
