Car starts, but cannot shift out of park but the still rolls forward. I have emergency brake on so apparently it act as if it is in neutral. Help!

I have owned Lexus GX models since 2004 and now that Lexus has created this monstrosity I will need to look for an alternative brand. I currently have a 2021 GX 460 and I love the body style. They have not changed this rounded corners look since the inception of the GX. Now they created this thing that looks like a Ford Bronco and a Land Rover mated and had a child. Not only is this thing boxy and ugly, they also removed the reliable V8 motor and replaced it with a V6 twin turbo. I use my GX as an SUV. I travel in inclement weather. I haul things and I sometimes tow things. I guess the best option for me is to keep my 2021 until I die. I will not be giving Lexus any more money for a new vehicle until they get back to the standards that made them great. -

I realize there are many posts and discussions here on doing this with the sealed tranny and the great details of gravity draining and refill and the explanation about the correct warmup temp to set the fluid level. All great info however I have a question. Assuming the tranny was correctly previously filled at the factory and never serviced, no leaks and thus at the correct level and car set up level. And also not discussing if service should be done based on mileage and years. Why not service this later model auto tranny when is fluid cold from over night set up on stands with over night cool down of fluid, then accurately measure the volume of gravity fluid drained with stand pipe removed, then replace standpipe and drain plug and refill with the same volume of fluid at the same cold temp of drained fluid (new fluid containers stored in same area as car)? And forget adding extra fluid then warmup to factory temp spec range and pull the drain plug and drain to a trickle. Thank you Pete -
We have a 2021 ES300h that we bought “used” (5000 miles) in 8/2022. Best car of the previous 4 Lexus we have owned. The remote start doesn’t work with either key fob. Batteries are not a problem. I learned today that some cars need a subscription for this purpose. News to me. I had no knowledge of that when we purchased the car. Any suggestions? All thoughts appreciated. -

Thought I would also mention there is a push button on the passenger side under the glove box that selects which set of tires you are using make sure it is plugged in and that button is in the correct position
