I just purchased a used 04 GX with 153k miles. It wasn’t taken care of very well but bought it at a decent price. In its first 150k miles oil changes were done at places like jiffy lube and quick oil changes. Doesn’t look like there was too much work done. It’s a single owner but they weren’t on top of maintenance. The water pump and timing belt were replaced at the dealer. I’m taking it in to get fluids and everything else replaced. My question: is it too late for this Lexus to make it over 300k if I take care of it from here on? Is the damage already done from the first 150k? Thanks. -

hello Lexus folks - I am presently the owner of a 2018 ES350 and a 2011 RX350. Over the past few days I've spent some time up at the dealer (Car Shop - PA - used cars only), looking at possible upgrades/ replacements for the RX. (We would like at least a bit more cargo space.) They have a 2019 GX460 with 80K miles on it, for around $27,000. No doubt it's a first class car, and would certainly deliver on the additional cargo space, but I have reservations about it having 80K miles on it. How much would you be concerned about that, if at all? My gut tells me to avoid a car that close to 100K, but maybe that isn't the right idea for a Lexus product. Appreciate any thoughts! -

FYI- you can now buy 2K Clear Coat in a spray can- it's a special two-stage that mixes in the can that that provides much better (autobody quality) durability in a DYI scenario. Only lasts once activated for a day or so, but worth every bit of a $25 can. You activate with a "big red button" on the bottom the can- and other than that- it's a regular spray but auto-body quality. Works great for wheels- just lasts longer than all the 1K. Search for SprayMax 2K Urethane Clear Coat. Us Florida folks need to keep our clear hard, fresh and durable. Has worked for me in rehabbing painted silver wheels. -
Hello everyone, I have a 2000 GS400 with Navigation. The Automatic climate controll buttons at the top of the Navigation screen don't work. Also, when I press the climate button on the Navigation screen the set cabin temperature and outside temperature aren't displayed and I can't use the manual overrides on the touch screen. I did try unhooking the battery overnight to “reset “ things but it didn’t change anything. -
I have this exact problem but the battery unhook did not work for me. I even tried again leaving the battery unhooked overnight. Any ideas??
