My Lexus dealer says I need an oil change every 5 k miles and new plugs every 60 k miles . I thought 100,000 on plugs and 10,000 on synthetic oil , I only drive 6 k per year . Am I being screwed or am I wrong . Love to hear other opinions . -
Does anyone know if Lexus publishes color codes for their rims. I have a 2017 RX with the silver and dark grey rims that need some touching up. If not, does anyone know what will come close to matching that is on the market in US. -
I love my 2025 Lexus NX 350h EXCEPT for one thing. Although Advanced Park works well in shopping centers or any place where white lines denote a parking space, Advanced Park can't detect my driveway as a parking space. Instead, it identifies the swale and wants to parallel park. Do I need to paint a white line in my driveway so Advanced Park works? Does anyone have a workaround? -

LOL. I was about to go to the local junkyard today to get a replacement hatch motor and was directed to check out your response first. Divine timing! <>< Thanks for the tip on the ECU. I see it has been substituted with the 89222-0E012 Multiplex Network Door Computer. So I went out to the Lexy and tried it one more time before I left for the junkyard and ...... it was functioning correctly. I wonder if it's the outdoor temperature that affects the ECU? We have a black RX330 so I imagine it gets pretty hot back there. I'm not going to replace the motor. I'm going to see if there is a pattern with the heat affecting functioning up or down., I might try switching the module with a junkyard buy and see if it makes a difference. But only if it acts inconsistently in moderate temps. Thanks, Dave! P.S. I already replaced the struts which corrected the "up/open" function. It is the "down/close" function that is the issue. -
Hello everyone. I recently picked up a 2000 LS400. Smoothest and nicest ride I've had in some time. Had to fortune of changing the valve cover gaskets, nasty oil leak going on. Upon re-assembly I noticed, or created, a crack in 2 different hoses. 1 plugs into the intake manifold, the other plugs into an extension that goes over the manifold. I'm struggling to find part numbers, and/or what these hoses are called. Can any help me out or have any leads? The seal seems to be holding, but I know its probably just a matter of time before I need to change them. I've attached an image, with a zoomed in pic of the cracked points. Thank you much.
