  1. You could use them as winter wheels to keep the chrome clean.
  2. That is not something a paintless dent guy can do the creases are too sharp.Good luck
  3. Where are you getting this price? That is correct for the black one 98-00 but I beleive the chrome one is sold with all the surroundings for about 350.
  4. Yes they will fit your car. They have about 15-20k on them and have never seen snow and have seen very little rain.No scrapes or dents as close to new condition as possible.
  5. Im not sure whether they flow better or not. There cant be even a 1hp difference.Im just going to l-tuned because ive gone conservative for the last 5yrs and now im ready to go a little more ricer. The l-tuned tend to be one of the louder exhaust for our vehicles. The Borlas I have are the ones listed on Carson,Sewell,Srt I paid 600 and am selling for 300.
  6. Borlas tend to be the most quiet on our cars.Thats why I bought them they go hand and hand with the intake.Im changing over to l-tuned which will be considerably louder. As far as the x or y pipe just put some mufflers on and dont worry about the rest unless you go FI.Its a pretty good stock set-up.I removed my front resonator and it proved to be a waste of 50 bucks. And the VB shifts the hardest when youre driving light or letting off right before a shift,Its not bad at WOT.If you feel like making the trip to Indianapolis to drive mine before you upgrade the offer is there.
  7. Good to see she is coming along. The VB is definatly something you want done by a professional.Id personally just send it out to SRT you can expedite the shipping depending on what you want to pay for.I know Ive told you this before but the VB is makes for very hard shifts thus increased rattles.I dont mind mine because I can see the performance side but this mod is not for the light hearted.Have you considered gears? On the headers the factory are better than most but could use some improvement.Wheteher its worth the money or not is up to you.The install is a pain and the headers are expensive.Maybe leave that for last the gains arent much. What do you have in mind for exhaust?I have a set of Borlas for sale.Let me know if you need any help along the way and Good LUck.
  8. Your car is known for its breaking abilities dont just buy some cheap autozone junk.
  9. Visit CL for opinions from guys who have been using them successfully for sometime now. Also alot of dealers who deal with modding are now offering them.
  10. That would be rolling the dice.:chairshot: Plugs are a very important part. Do not take a short cut. I agree alot of these things are gimmicks like the splitfire but there have to be atleast 50 CL members that swear by them They have varying amounts of mods and seem to know theyre stuff.Im going to give them a shot and will post back.I also agree Denso and NGK make the best plugs but if you dont try something youll never know.
  11. If youre concerned with ride quality and dont want to spend a fortune you should consider l-tuned.
  12. Torque masters seem to be the popular choice on CL.They all have good things to say about them.
  13. Put some people in their place???I thought I was asked wether I would buy these lights or not and simply stated my opinion. Its amazing how defensive people get when its not the answer they want to hear.
  14. Looks sweet. If you get a monster size spare will it fit where it should????
  15. Dont get me wrong an aftermarket intake is much better than stock Im just not sure if adding all this to an intake will be worth the trouble. The stock airbox has some very serious restrictions and can definatly be improved upon.Put on the FIPK and leave it be.
  16. Personally I would leave well enough alone.I cant imagine there will be any power gains and if so they would be so minimal it wouldnt be worth the trouble.Although its your car and you should do what ever you want with it I never let anyone elses opinion override my own when it comes to my car.Good luck
  17. The stock gears are 3;23.I bought the gears from a 93-97 supra since they share the same differential there are a few different ratios though so you will have to be careful which ones you get.Ill check tonight and post on which you will need.I bought the gears from toyota at cost and they were $550.Also on the install the $190 was for labor only you will need another 400-500 in bearings and seals.
  18. I used the TRD lsd and highly recommend it.I couldnt be happier.I had it and 3;73 gears installed at a tranny shop and it cost $190.If youre going to do the lsd you might consider gears. On your NOS zex makes a pretty safe system that has a lean sensor built in.
  19. MY MY how quickly we all forget.Must I remind us all of the toyota horror stories posted recently??Did you buy a Lexus or a Toyota?Im all for saving money but not at the cost of adding a headache.Sure the cars are very similiar but not by any means identical.A lexus tech will be more likely to properly diagnose because they work on the same car day in and day out and know whats common and whats not. Most Lexus dealers dont service Toyotas.Maybe try telling the Lexus dealer about the cost difference and try to find a middle. As in previous cases im saying go to Lexus.Read these previous horror stories. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=29895 http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=29752
  20. To sum it up shes a beast.I love all mods and highly reccomend the lsd.The revs are a little hegher maybe 500 and its just enough that when running down the highway you can pick up a few mph w/o having to kick down a gear. Not sure the difference between the TC's I havent heard anything but good about them both.I have the PI.And forget Rod Millen those guys are a joke and theyre service sucks. As far as the rest of my exhaust I have Borlas and have deleted the resonator. The resonator removal is pretty much worthless unless you can get it done very cheap. The resonator is straight through. Before installing the nos im going to run 2.5 in. duals with an X pipe.Probably a little on the big size but with the amount of nos im going to run it isnt going to hurt.On the valve body I have the SRT rebuild it might be a bit much for some because it really shifts hard between 2-3.I love it its an extremely fast shift no hesitation at all but when it shifts it shifts. Its not as bad when youre in the throttle but when youre puttin through a lot and it shifts it slams hard enough that if people are walking near the car theyll look.If im running hard in a turn and it shifts into 3rd it will break the tires loose.Thats really getting into it on a ramp.If youre going to leave off one mod Id reccomend this one unless you go FI or nos.I love mine though and wont be changing it back.If you dont mind a little sacrifice in the name of performance then go for it.And lastly the nos is a 125hp wet system with 2 polished bottles, remote bottle openers, warmers, purge kit, pretty much the works.I still need a high flow fuel pump. Not in too big of a hurry though I wont be putting it on for another month or so Im enjoying driving her after so much down time. And I still need to get used to these other mods shes a completly different animal.Well get to it and let me know how it goes
