Youre both right I was told by the guys at SRT that it is drive by wire and has a backup throttle cable just in case

I have a 98 gs400 with a few mods and i have already ruled out the mods as the problem.My problem is that from a stop when i hit the gas it is a little hesitant then it makes a pop like is miss.(sounds like a muffled firework)the car runs great 99% of the time this is the only prob and it rarely happens 3 times last summer and now a little more often.it will only happen from a stop and i have to get into it a liitle for it to happen.I was told by some guys at SRt and a couple dealers it probably has something to do with the drive by wire .(and for the record it has a drive by wire and a throttle cable)I was told maybe a Throttle lever sensor or a pedal position sensor.has anyone had this problem or seen it and what do you think.Also ive performed all the maintenance.

Does anyone know where to geta good deal on a 3.5 filter I really want TRD but allive seen are 3in. THere arent very many on ebay either.

I recently took my car in to get cleaned this is not something i normally do but I was feeling lazy and it was only the motor I hate cleaning it.I have a SRT intake with the exposed cone filter.I tell the guy who runs the place ive never cleaned a motor with one but i didnt think you would want to spray it directly.He had never even seen one (should have known then)but said he would put a plastic over it I said well enough and left.When I picked my car up I paid him and afterward before i got in my car I popped the hood to see and nearly puked.My filter was crushed like a pop can and motor was filthy.No one was gonna tell me.When they saw me with the hood up they came running out saying it could be pushed back out I mean this thing was flat.I asked what happened and they said they tried to start the car and it wouldnt so they went and got gas for it and im sure it wasnt premium.Still wouldnt start and he tells me"I just couldnt understand why it wouldnt start and thought no way could it be the bag".My instinct was to attack but I held back.This guy is distant family so i had to keep my cool.I ended up leaving paying full price with a crushed filter and a tainted car. It still haunts me thinking about how long he probably sat there and cranked it over and over.After this I have done anything i can to my car if I can do I do it :chairshot:

I have the stock 17s and have this prob

I have had some probs postin some im back as newbig400.My gs400 is shaking from about 60 up.I have z rated tires and had it aligned at the dealer and balenced where I bought the tires.I dont understand I read somewhere about a bushing but I cant find it now.It also pulsates through the brakes sometimes not all the time but sometimes really bad.It makes them feel like theyre warped.I know theyre not I have new cross drilled and slotted Brembos with ceramic pads.Does this sound familiar?What could it be?Also does anyone know about tightening the throttle cable if so how much and do u adjust at the throttle body?
