I dont know why SRT always advises against exhaust.Thay told me the same line.Ive had my borlas for a couple of years know and love them they are far from obnoxious.In fact Im currently installing headers an X pipe and full 2.5 exhaust.I think my SRT intake made it louder than my exhaust!The guys at SRT are great and know there stuff but on the exhaust they are wrong.As for the LSD im currently doing the same mod and the TC and cant wait til its done.Hoping to have it driving in about a week but right now its in a million pieces.Ill let you all know how it turns out.

Do whatever works for you.Ive worked in several stores and unfortunatly have seen some motor replacements due to error and never once was a used motor mentioned.And as far as the dealer just being the unfortunate one who touched it last, come on.Whats next they wreck your car on a road test and use used parts to fix it?

Weary!!Dont accept a used motor.What if that motor only has 18k but was run low on oil or never had the oil changed who knows what it could have seen.If they are replaceing the motor they must feel responsibile so hold them to it.

Sounds pretty fair to me if its clean.Do yourself a favor and have somebody who knows what theyre looking for check it out.

How much?I wouldnt be scared if the price was right.You should call a dealer and find out what maint has been done.If you pm me the vin I can look for you.If the 60k has been done Id check the fluid conditions change if necessary and change the timing belt.Good Luck

What makes you say that all Lexus dealers were supposed to align their pricing? I work at one and we recently changed ours.They are trying to make service prices the same at every dealer.

No worries on repairs as long as its straight when you get it.As im sure you know 60k is nothing on these cars.There should be no prob. financing for 5yrs.The only major thing you should have in the near future is the timing belt change.I bought my GS400 6yrs ago with 45k and it now has 115k and runs like the day I bought it.Actually better.No repair work needed just mods.Good Luck

Have you checked ebay?They are listed pretty often I just saw a set last week.i cant remember how much they were but they were considerably cheaper.

All Lexus dealers were supposed to align there pricing and if your dealer has done this it should be 179.99

[Just curious... was it hard to take off the throttle body? How many screws/nuts/bolts were there? I'm thinking about doing this when it gets warmer in NYC. The furthest I've gone to cleaning the throttle body is spraying the cirular flap with carb cleaner and scrubbing it down with a toothbrush. That helped a bit with the low idle. This is prob. not a good idea if you havent done one b4.As far as special tools a o2 socket is very helpful but it can be done without.These can be seized up and very hard to remove and you DO NOT want to break it off.As far as where it is, it is very hard to find as it is toward the front of the vehicle buried up near the motor.If you do decide to replace it yourself try not to use cheap Bosch junk.Good luck

When was the last time you have you have seen turbo?I havent seen him here since he was suspended.

Have you considered a similiar year LS?If you need something bigger that is a good cruiser you might consider one.I know you can get one for around the same money.
