Geez zeta, that don't sound good... What i Pray its not is a broken Piston or Rod, my gf's old vw cabriolet had one of those, it would run, but then the engine would start surging and the rpm's would Drop to nothing, then go back up again, OR the engine would shut off totally. I just remember a lot of shaking. Did you call the shop you took it? cause it's mostlikely something they did unless your accident was bad enough that the engine broke somewhere. I hope it all works out, keep us posted! Brian

Hrm... for that RF modulator, it says it connects to your antenna jack, BUT my car doesn't have a visible antenna... how do i get to the back of my 97's Head unit??? ~ProZac~

Hey Guys! My dad has a new XM sattalite radio unit. so i can have his old one! MY question is. do the 97' Sterios have an aux input??? My dad has a 99' Toyota 4-Runner, and it is set to staion 89.1Mhz (something like that) and it plays through that station, he doesn't have to use the Tape adapter. I know there is a feature to have a signal broadcasted, and the car radio can pick that up... However His actually has an aux imput and that station activates it. is my 97 es the same? ProZac

my 97 es had 67k on it when i bought it for $15k, it was highly recomended from our machanic and it should last me 4~5 more years and at least 60k miles, but im guessing it will last a LOT longer. I don't wash it as much as i should, or vaccume it too much, BUT i keep the engine and all the junk up to date and serviced often. i/e every 3k miles inseatd of 5k. ProZac

Yea, achieveable as in $ and ease of DIY. I could also use the better mileage since im getting 16mpg max. But next week/month im going to get new brakes, oil change, and im gonna ask for one of those "flush thingies" that clear out crap and make the car drive like new (so i hear) That fule additive didn't seem to help, so might as well have a professional do their stuff. If that doesn't cost TOO much, i might have $$ left over to do a cold air intake. But, i don't know too much about my 97's intake to mod it quite yet. i HATE people that try to race in public, or trafficie areas!!! its Too dang dangerous. i saw a Punk kid in an IS300 driving like a you-know-what. I wanted to say "Don't give us lexus people a bad name" or something. but he wouldn't have listend. It is WAY to easy to find a place near your town, where nobody drives (even cops :P ) where u can test your car out, even on weekends car tracks only charge like $20~30 bucks to go on the track for like an hour or more. OR, if you live near me, everybody drives 80+ on the freeways anyway, so thats test enough :) #1 Make sure your car is in TOP shape: tires are good, engine, etc #2 Make sure there is no possible way to hurt anybody (but yourself, cause fast drivin is risky anyway) #3 Look out for "the man" cause they like to race too! Race up and give your butt a ticket, or worse!!! Be Safe mates! ProZac

Hehe Flip, you have the same GS dreams i do! Ive gone 110+ in my car on an on-ramp to a freeway (it was a downward slope, not upward) And throughout different times of the week im going 90~100mph. Yes it is a very interesting drive to school :P Highend the car is great, its funky stearing on arching turns with big bumps (going 70mph) because the shocks bounce around, but its controlable (i don't have the Shock Settings like i hear most 97's have, so i don't know if they are average or not). $2k for radio stuff, WOW, is that USD or CD? I don't remember where Bloomberg is I personally want a Supercharger. but as i said before in other posts, its a pipe dream for now. Maybe a body mod first B) Are cars would be better if the 0-60, 0-80 was faster. Keep up ur dreams bro! ~ProZac~

:D HEHEHE Yea. me ever drive conservative??? I love how fast my car is... BUT if it just had a bit more Uumph! i would be happier. I plan on having this car for 5 more years + or less, depends on if get into and outt of grad school in the next 3 years. I really want to get a body mod, like on auto-couture. BUT i want to be able to back that look with the performance, thats why i think performance first. But that will still be a year away at least as i need to save $$$. And its my car which i pay for, BUT if i do any mods my parents won't pay for insureance any more :chairshot: (they pay for that)... So this may just be a dream for now... but heck. if camery can have one, why not an es300 :) ProZac Oh yea. anyone still know the max psi? or the 'safe' psi/boost this engines can run?
