Anyone klnow if putting Xenon bulbs in a 1994 ls 400 is worth it? and if so, what brand seems to be the best? Are they difficult to install? I found some that said I just need to switch the bulb.

This is the original problem I had with my 1994 LS400, they told me it was a problem with my computer, now I am having similar problems and they are telling me the computer is bad again. What the hell? Did you ever find out what was wrong with yours? email xmanpike@yahoo.com if you did please!

Is there anything else I should ask him about? Or any other ideas what it might be?

I appreciate all your help! I have looked at lexls. Loved it too. He has told me that the computer will not communicate which is why he is assuming it is a problem with the ECM. They are getting another computer and are going to hook it up to see if that fixes things or if it will communicate. He is doing this free of charge so far. If that is the problem, he says he will charge no labor. Is there anythig else I should ask him about. He said he checked the air flow meter? and it looks okay.

I had a lot of work done recently, no it doesnt sound good when revved up. The computer had a 90 day warranty so it is not being coevered and was done at an independent garage. It was fine the day before, it seems to pick and choose when it wont run. Air filter was replaced recently, so thats not the problem yes the check engine light is on as well. The guy working on it is baffled. I basically told him, why do i want to replace the computer again when it sounds like it is just going to fail again. I told him something was making this happen. About a year ago I took in my 1994 LS400 due to problems accelerating after getting some routine maintenance done, I was informed that the ECU had gone bad, so the computer was replaced with a refurbished one. Less than one year later now and another $2500 in maintenance I am being informed that again the computer has failed and that is why the car is not running properly and wont go over 20 mph. Has anyone had these problems? Basically the car is having problems accelerating. I am not sure I want to purchase another computer only to find out that it fails again, or that the computer is not the real problem. Please let me know what any of you think

I am currently attempting to sell a 1994 LS400 with 104,000 miles. I am trying to get the car in better shape to sell it. It currently hasd a problem that I listed in an earlier posting about not running right when you slam down on the accelerator, but runs fine otherwise. It is cream and has a small scratch on the bumper. If I get the car running well and replace the brakes and rotors what do you believe the car is worth?

This just started happening. When I am very gentle with the accelerator the car runs perfectly, but if you try to say pass someone on the freeway or start off a little bit more quickly than normal the car lurches and you go nowhere, the check engine light comes on briefly and then once the rpms have come down you can drive again normally if you are smooth with the accelerator. Anyone have any idea what is causing this? I just recently got this car form my step mom and it has 104,000 and is a 94 ls400. I'm sure it was not taken care of properly and have already replaced the air filter and just go a fuel filter for it that I'm going to put in also. The car needs brakes too, I saw a how to on lexls, but can anyone give me an estimate in price for brakes and rotors? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

sometimes when i start the car the needles wont jump off of zero unless i hit the dash. Isn't there a better way to fix this?

This just happened. If I try to accelerate quickly the engine shudders/stalls and the check engine light comes on briefly then goes off and everything is fine. I just have to be very smooth with the accelerator or this happens. 1994 LS400. Any ideas on what this might be. This car was not mine and was not taken care of well, probably no fuel filter or air filter replacements in the near past.
