  1. lool maybe this will be the lucky 300th post
  2. How many post do you have to have to get four little squares under your username?
  3. Lately I have been doing more consistant driving and have found that I have been getting aroun 8 or 9 mpg even though i rarly go past 2800 rpm. Most all of my driving is city, but still I would like to think that I could get at least 12 or 14. My LS is in good mechanical condition. It had a major tune up at the dealer about a year ago, air filter is still good. The coolent temp. sensor was replaced about 6 months ago. The only thing I can think of is the PS pump leaking a tiny, tiny bit into the block. I check the ps fluid every month and have never had to add any so I dont think its major at all. My rotors are a little warped, but I dont feel any break drag or pull when I drive. BTW I tried searching the forum, but I couldn't find anything else. The search function needs some help. Any input would be great. Thanks guys.
  4. You mentioned $5,000 for the body work? What body work? I had a door shell, fender, PS rack, PS return line, and tie rods done for $2900 after the fire Hydrent jumpped in front of me. If it is toteled, which seams strange, sell it to me and I'll fix it. Good luck on whatever you choose to do though. BTW what did you hit? Glad you were ok.
  5. Thx a bunch. However based on my previous experience installing my head unit, I'll let the pros do the sub. Is there anything I should make sure they do? BTW nice system. I'm only putting in one 12 with a 360 Watt amp. What brand do you have?
  6. Has anyone installed an aftermarket sub in the trunk? If so, how did you get the wiring from the head unit to the trunk? DO you have to drill a hole? Is the gas tank in the way? Since the seats don't fold down, whats the best way to do it? I am having my sub and amp installed on tuesday by a professional local audio shop, but I'm still unsure how difficult it will be for them.
  7. I had to replace my intake air connecter pipe because the little nipple where the small hose attaches to broke. I was like $250 if I rememer correctly.
  8. O crap. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
  9. i pulled the break booster hose off the back of the intake manifold and used a longer piece of bendable tubing. I used about a third to half of a can and that was plenty. Split the rest between the oil and gas. Just make sure you dont put more than a few hundred mile on the oil before you change it after you add the seafoam. Hope that helps. It helped my 93 alot.
  10. yesterday during a WOT run at about 4500rpm smoke or frost or some sort of white vapor started to come out of the cabin vents in my car. It didn't smell and my car still runs great. It went away about a minute after i let off the throttle and it hasn't done it sense. It was really humid out idk if that means anything but it was like 90%+ humidity. What would caused that?
  11. I thought he was a better guy then that.
  12. mine was 19.99 at autozone. you sure you were looking at the right part. I have a duralast in my car.
  13. a firm hit on the top of the gauge cluster usually takes care of it.
  14. do you still have the coolent resevoir? PS pump, IACV, front passanger fender, fan shroud, and interior wood trim are also needed.
  15. Has anyone deleted their egr system? The kit from lextreme looks cool. I kinda want to try it. If there is a write up on removal could someone pm it to me. THX
