I also had this problem with my 1993 Ls400 and the only hard part was finding a tiny screwdriver. Once you get the screw out gently pop/pry the cover off and remove the battery. 1216 is the battery you need and I got mine for 4$ and change at batteries plus. Extremly EASY. good luck. :D

what about fuel additives. I hvae had some mixed results myself but was wondering what you guys think

I have mine at 32psi which is recommended for my 93 ls400 but it seems awfuly low and my tires are rated up to 40 psi should i go up to somewhere around 36 or 38?

I have a casset stuck in my 93 LS400 and was wondering if there is any easy way to get it out. when i hit the eject button it moves a little but not enough to grab. thx

my machanic said it might need a transmissionfluid flush so that might help and I'll definetly get the filter replaced. thx for the advice.

I was wondering if a short ram intake for a 92-95 SC400 would fit my 93 ls400. The motors are the same so i don't see a reason why it wont but i want to be sure before i buy anything. also if anyone knows of any other kits for the LS400 please let me know. I have not been able to find one that is acctually made for the LS400. http://www.injenairintakes.com/

It spputters when i accelerate from a stop or when i try to pass and accelerate but not when I'm just cruzing.

Check engine light is off and it has 175K. It hasnt been tuned up in a while but i was thinking about doing that soon. do you think thats all it needs?

I hope this is not a dead post but does anyone know if that is the same battery as the 93 LS400? I have the same problem.
