  1. I pretty much have all the parts, and believe it or not all the lights still work. Just the right side lenses are broke. All bulbs still intact. Thanks for the tip randy I'll call my local high school body shop buddies. BTW I don't plan on driving it anywhere I don't have to. I, like you said amcdonal, don't want to be in another accident.

  2. Miracle!! I secured all the parts I need, trunk 1/4 panel bumper assembly exhaust etc. all for $300 off another '93. I am friends with a body guy that has a frame machine and he is going to take a look at it tomorrow. If the labor is more than $2000 I'll consider something else, but we wont know till tomorrow. The car still rides the same, and no fluids of any kind are leaking. I might just keep it the way it is and drive it if I absolutly have too.

  3. Jeez killer, you just got the damage fixed from when that fire hydrant jumped out in front of you: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...c=54501&hl=

I know that is what makes me so upset

And in another post you bragged about going 118 mph in a 35 mph zone on an Overland Park, Kansas street: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...amp;hl=Overland

that was one time and one time only

And you are only 16 years old? You've already had more "at fault" accidents than I've had in 43 years of driving -- I've had none.

I think it is time for you to stop driving a car and ride a bicycle for a while -- if you do, you definitely need to be wearing a helmet. :chairshot:

I've got to do quite a bit of driving in Overland Park tomorrow -- would you mind telling me when and where you will be driving so I can make sure that I stay far, far away from you?

It wasn't totally my fault, and It was raining. I think that I have learned more about life in the 12 months I've had this car, then all other years combined. This car has taught me alot in general. I will fix her and I will make sure I don't have another accident.

    Hi Killerfatty,

I'm a professional collision repair technician. Show me some pictures and I will look them over for you and tell you what to expect.

    Jerry

I'll post pics tomorrow afternoon. I know this will be tough to repair, but I'll get it done.

  4. I was driving to a body shop to get a trim panel fixed and while I was changing lanes merging onto the highway, the jerk behind me sped up forcing me to swerve back over, and the pick up infront of me was slamming on his breaks due to traffic infront of him. So in panic I over corrected and spun out my beautiful 93 ls across three lane of traffic. I SMASHED the back into the median and the trunk, right rear quarter panel, the tail lights, and part of the muffler are all kinds of F :censored: 'ed up. Since I only have liability the car is getting fixed out of pocket. With the budget of a sixteen year old that wont be easy. I am looking for used parts as usual, but I was really wondering of any good places to get a detailed wright up on body work. How to remove the quarter panal and such. The car still drive great though. From inside you wouldn't know a thing had happened. I'll try to post pics soon. I really need to get the bent up, leaky trunk and smashed bumber and lights fixed asap though. Any help or input would be great. Thx

  5. Lexus Ls400 Year 200

    My Ls400 Broke down today.

    The Engine won;t start up.

I tried the ignition and it would turn on for like a second and turn right off again.

also for a couple of days the car hasn't responded right when i press the gass its almost like its delayed.

I already gave it to Lexus but they won't look at the car until monday and i am anxious to find out the problem.

So does anyone know what the problem is?

I bet cha it's that :censored: muffler bearing again, or it might be that the turn signal fluid is low.

  6. I've never tried these seal/leak repair potions you pour into the oil that can magically reseal dried out and leaky seals. I don't see much downside in trying one of those. Maybe someone online has ideas if they really work.

I just put some honey looking stuff in the oil of my dad's '97 camry. He had a decent leak comming from just about everywhere underneeth his engine. After two days of driving the leak is less than half has bad as it was before. For less than $5 it's worth every penny.

  7. This is just a guess, but Check the wires running through the left trunk hinge. Just pop off the black plastic piece and you'll see a bunch of wires wrapped up in tape going to a 90 degree bend. Take off all the tape and see if any wires are broken or chaffed. After your done, tape them back up. and just leave them hanging. If you put them back then eventually they'll break. Like I said its just a guess though.

  8. Can I attach a obd II to a 93? I thought my car was OBD I only. I dont have a cel. My trac light has been on since i got the car. I think it has to do with the TPS. Would that cause open loop mode? I checked my brakes like you said, and they were fine. Is there a way to test O2 sensors even if they are not throwing codes?
