Def. buddy, updates will come as soon as possible. I've done alot of work to it since then, just with work and college, i have no time to take vids. Believe me only being home about four months out of the year ..... I understand. It takes time just to make time to get something done...lol..goodluck wiff the project though..looks good sofar.

Just wanted to intruduce to everyone the newest member to the LOC... Christian Xavier Meeks... he was born Sept. 9th and his very first ride was in a LS400...lol... best tool for putting him to sleep.. ...here are some pics for anyone interested ...for a kid that we was told we couldnt have for close to ten years he was ... well at the least a happy suprise... and having kids in the house 18 years apart.. is shockingly nice... and to my suprise my daughter has been a huge help..

Congrats on the find...first off and welcome back...lol... even if it might need alil tlc in the future... your right once you have a ls 400...nothing else ever feels the same..I have drove many many cars and even the new ones I drive today I always feel like its not quite up to the challenge...once again congrats.

Keep us informed interested in what mods works best and which ones change your gas mileage the most...looks good B)

I agree so far havent heard either one say much.... I am a republican ..not ashamed of it. Dont agree with everything that my party does but still with them... My major complaint is not real happy with either canidate...and as far as vice... Biden has been around since the Nixon administration so dont get me started on the comment of Good Ole Boys club from Dem's and Palin is new blood but personal opinion about that is or really a honest question does she have the experice to run the country...so we have one vice nobody actually hears anything out of and another that wont shutup....lol... I do know that some friends I have in Alaska that are Dem and Rep. ...all think Palin is the greatest thing since sliced bread...so that goes along way when atleast your own state likes you.... sofar not many canidates can make that claim after a short time in office...and I am so tired of hearing about they have no experience in foriegn policy....so the hell what... the ones with all the experience dont seem to be doing to damn hot right now either(considering arent we fighting with everyone). The whole Obama campaign was run on CHANGE... now there is possibility to have some and its wrong to want that too.... When even Clinton wont give a straight answer over what he thinks makes me sorta wonder..... does anyone else feel like they are watching the MTV Music awards of politics... We are the greatest nation ever assembled Under God...yes I said it... Under God... and it really is disappointing to see that we vote the public servants into office on their ability to lie with a straight face... maybe we should be watching the world of Poker tourn. for our next President.... as far as the debate... and the one tonight I am anxious to see it... I know that Biden will put on a show the same as always..but I am more interested to see how our Sara does under the eye of the nation without someone there to take the camera off and without Q cards... Biden has had 35 years of arguing in the Senate if she can just hold her own I will be impressed... and as far as president we will know in about five weeks or so who did better...I dont put much faith in polls... I am just truely devestated that with everything that is happened to the american people we still hear more about the poor nations around us, what ever happened to the poor americans...yep we are still here.... People have a tendency to get emotional when it comes to the elections and ignore facts...fact is when it comes down to it... anyone will say things underpressure and make incorrect statements..I am guilty of it myself. I want someone to give me someone that will admit they dont know all the answers and I will give you a honest answer... and the press will eat them alive. Taxes are a way of life...grewup paying them and will always pay them. Anytime a member of either party says they can give you something and not raise taxes they lie... the Economic system doesnt work that way... It takes money from somewhere... US... I dont ask for much just honesty...I wish for one CHANGE... If one of them could standup and say I dont know...instead of lying about how much they do know...but then again honesty is not rewarded it is condemed as weak... i am sure the man that just lost his home yesterday because his company went under is worried someone last night on a debate got called out for a incorrect statement he made in 1985... :( ..sorry didnt mean to get caught up... I will shut up and drink my coffee now.,

The ECM (engine control module) is basically the car's computer that controls systems like fuel injection, idle speed control, emissions control, self diagnosis, etc. OK. Does a failing ECM give any warning signs? I am having an intermittent low idle issue and I wonder if that would be the cause... The ECM on ours gave no indication...as a matter of fact my wife was driving and the car just died and coasted to the side of the rode..when the lil road side assistance dude got there they were talking about maybe the fuel pump went out and wanted to spray starter fluid in it.... :o ..I told my wife shut the hood and I will have a dealer pick it up ...sure enough the ECM had went capoot...and the car wasnt recieving any power to any of the fuel systems.... Anyway to answer the question some cars symptoms vary depending.... but I would advise to check some cheaper issues before jumping right on the ECM or having a diagnostic check run at a garage for code variance....

By the way...I really do like your car....lol..you have excellent taste HA! It is a nice color. Sounds like everything will be back to normal soon. Good luck. Yeah hope so...lol... getting and feeling to old ... had a man argue yesterday that 1400 was way to much to spend on an old car...just spend 1400 and buy another.... I had to ask..and what kind of car can I get for that money..oh ya another one that I can spend alot more on....lmao... dont think he understood... I would gladly spend more on the 400 than buy a two thousand dollar pontiac ....lol.. sorry any pontiac owners out there... just really feel comfy when I get in the lex... and not so much in most other cars I ride in. Besides how can you put a price on art....lol... unless your a dealership?

OK, dispute dcfish's entries point by point. Discussing politics on this forum is going to lead to nothing but bad feelings. People tend to overreact and overstate when politics are involved. I dont have the time energy or enough strength to get started on everything this discussion brings out in me... I am against helping a CEO bailout...as for the american people we need it. I am tired of hearing we are looking at a recession... they need to buy a dictionary ... as far as blaming Bush... which I voted for too... I cant blame one man for problems that stem from hundreds of thousands of people being greedy. I am what most people believe to be as a black heart republican...I do not believe in welfare reform...mainly because I dont believe in welfare...I agree some people need assistance.. the disabled is a good example... but if you have been drawing welfare for a decade..this is not assistance...this is a retirement... a retirement funded by mine and our tax dollars... there has to be not only a answer but alot more questions..I have owned many many different types of money losing ideas ...lol... no golden parachute not even a umbrella...if you own a company that goes under you should not expect to walk away with 20,ooo,ooo million dollars of tax payers money. No one man is to blame. That is one of the problems everyone wants to push the blame noone want the responsibility. I voted Bush in office I take responsibility for my actions... I love a cold beer and a football game as much as anyone else...but I am not waiting to the third of every month for a check while watching my neighbors cable while sending my kids to school to get free lunch and eating steaks paid for by food stamps and sending my kids to the dentist to be paid for a medical card complaining about how high gas is wanting my welfare check to raise because of the high cost of living... I believe anyone drawing welfare, Social Security, medicaid, medicare, child assistance, wick, or k tap should be drug tested.... this is a issue that could save millions in these assistance programs... I work and pay for my insurance I have none nor do I qualify or wish to for any assistance of these types and personally could not retire or want to on just social security. But if one of these so called needy or underprivilaged people fell off the roof of there house while getting a frisby and broke his arm. They would recieve medical attention no questions ask...If I fell off I would have a deductable at which time be drug tested ... take into consideration for insurance that I pay for ..before recieving any medical attention... like I said this is just one issue I work for a multi billion dollar company and one of our leading expenses is medical... I guess what I am trying to say is many many issues have led to these problems... and yet instead of fixing or even addressing the problems that help create these issues... everyone wants to throw money on it and call it fixed... when in reality all we do is keep enabling these politions that in reality are more apt to vote on an issue due to a personal reason then helping the public they took an oath to help... It makes me sick to think the United States is not only the greatest, richest and best place in the world... and look at what these greedy self proclaimed voice of the american people have done to it. Having personaly served in the Marines I love my country and it makes me sick to my stomach to know that what I lost friends family and loved ones for is being controlled by people that would rather take a free dinner from a fourtune 500 CEO than a direct question over what they stand for... when I came back from overseas alot of friends use the word hero and great american...you show me a man or a woman that works two jobs to support two kids , and keep food on the table, a single mom that waits tables in the morning and comes home to mow there yard in the evening and still has time to read a book to their kids at night... that scraps together enough money for gas and power... and still takes there kids to soccer and cheerleading practice ... I will show you the real hero... America is the greatest country in the world... and I am all for free enterprise... When did we start rewarding someone who worked three weeks for a company that went backrupt and penalizing the man that worked for the company for thirty years by taking his retirement to furninsh the CEO with twenty two million because of a damn contract that the ink hadnt even dried yet.... forgive me... I should probably shutup but, touchy subject....forgive the typo's but was thinking faster than i can type.

Thanks ...for the info. I wont be back from New Orleans for a few more weeks so pretty much at the mercy of the dealership.. Just wondered if they got me or not.. Might decide for me if I use that dealership anymore... from what I understand it is a pricey item to have them replace though.. they where really nice to my wife and took care of pretty much everything as far as transportation and getting the car taken care of... sure my debit card brings out the best in them though... lol... hopefully that is all that it will need for awhile... after driving the 400 for awhile..getting in another car is like sitting in a go-cart now... so I am sure my wife wont care what it cost as long as she isnt stuck driving my daughters lil Caviler SS for a extended period of time...lmao... Thanks again for the input though. Ebay seems to be a pretty good place to find parts sofar though. Once again thanks for the input. If I was home I would have probably went alil more hands on to say quite a few hundred dollars. I dont call myself cheap... I like to think of it as conservative in non essential debit service of cash liabilities... :D

Well, bound to happen...had a break down our LS 400's ECM went out today...guess the car was bound to have a breakdown sooner or later... later would have been better... dealership quote...$1400.00 ..did I just get molested?..She said car was running fine down interstate and just died. Had a wrecker take it to the dealership... I was watching my stocks crash...So I was already crying,when the dealership called to tell me it was a typical monday...On a good note... the reason I havent been around lately is on Sept. 9th.. my wife gave birth to a handsome lil man weighing in @ 7lbs 14oz baby boy... Take it from personal experience "if you already are having to ask serious issues about the car and havent even bought it...might to more than the car checked out"....lol..been there done that...paid for it for over a year finally got lucky and it got wrecked...Kentucky Farm Bur. helped with the additional financing... Funny thing...It was a BMW...LMAO

Oh no sorry I might not of made myself completely clear...my wifie loves cars...just doesnt like cleaning them, maintaning them, polishing or waxing them, for sure doesnt like working on them, and in general gas is a burden....but she loves cars...looking and driving is where she is best suited... and cant complain... the occasional vacum and run at the car wash ( touchless...cant stand brushes hitting them..sorry personal preference) helps keep them atleast dust free..lol... sorry I gave the impression she just didnt like them...
