  1. Congrats ed, and thanks very much for the update. It's interesting, yet pretty tough to diagnose correctly over the net, so when folks post back the solution (which rarely happens) it helps everyone out. (hint hint ). ;) What was the name of the product? Do let us know if things change... Thanks!
  2. Congrats holden, and thanks very much for the update. It's interesting, yet extremely hard to diagnose correctly over the net, so when folks post back the solution (which rarely happens) it helps everyone out. Thanks!
  3. Actually, it would be more amazing if they covered this. :o
  4. I speak a little 6 pint Brit, and I agree with Bart.... I think he means his mechanic thinks parts are the same and interchangable for gen 2 and gen 3, or he's posing it as a question addressing techs here.
  5. That's what I'd want too. It's a real shame Vaistech doesn't make adapters for our LS400s. The only thing that I have seen that remotely works is an FM transmitter. That is, assuming you don't want to go to the trouble of removing the head unit, which I don't. Is there another way to add MP3 capability to the stock Nak unit? I have seen the cassette mp3 players as well, and tried one 3 or 4 years ago. It was garbage. Worked less than 1/2 the time. I'd love to be able to pull a wire or two loose from the dash, and tap in by soldering in an 1/8" stereo input jack, but I think that's beyond me unless someone knows of a tutorial somewhere...
  6. You say it's smooth up to around 120mph? Unless you hear grinding, popping, or clunking associated with manuevering, cornering or braking, Id leave well enough alone. How's the tire wear? Your tread will tell you volumes.
  7. Cleared old codes. Nothing new yet. I do have an ac code 13 tho.
  8. Have you pulled the engines codes? http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html It's easier than you might think. Try it.
  9. Sounds like you need to pull some codes. Here's how: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html Post them and the experts here will do thier thang. Try to avoid the situation where the starter engages while the engine is running. Not good. You can add stop leak atf to PS resevoir. It may or may not swell the seals and slow it down.
  10. Bump. For those with trac light issues. Any follow up? Great post WWEST.
  11. Wow. This is a real brain buster. And Pat hasn't been able to pinpoint it yet ? Maybe you could call in to his show, see if he works works better under pressure? ;) Let us know how this shakes out.
