  1. Usually the beeping is a relay on a fuse panel. Problem is it is usually really hard to get to inside the dash. Sorry i have no specifics to help you except do not disconnect the plug for the actual buckle. It will stop the computer from knowing if it is on or not but also effects the airbag system.
  2. The sensors don't go bad the bearings do. The sensor just needs to be changed to facilitate the new hub. It pays to read all replies as i did mention it earlier.
  3. Remove the lens beside the fogs with one screw. Once you pop that off ,reach behind the fogs and twist out the bulbs or take the other screw out and remove the fog light.
  4. I vouch for it also as i bought mine 6 months ago. I bought one from Costco for 650 with all the attachments dc14 . Then saw a place local with every single attachment including the soft bristle dusting brush and some others. I got it form them for $400 with $100 worth of extra accessories. I returned the other to Costco after i made sure it was the exact same thing. Then found another place local selling the car kit for it that had the extended soft wand and smaller micro carpet brush for cars. It is a great product with a hefty price that is well worth it. One note is to take apart the canister once a month and open it up to clean the dust out of the chamber as it does get pretty compacted in there. let it dry for a day and it is perfect again.
  5. I just use the penetrant from PB spraying every few minutes about 5 times to make sure it is clear.
  6. You need a multi meter to see if you are getting a trigger from the switch make sure the headlights are turned on to activate to fog circuit when testing.
  7. No problem it is a massive thread sw and who wants to read when there are pictures to get to. :) I saw the pics that Chino posted up tonight earlier. He seems to have gotten the shutter bug that day as the pics are mainly at the Hess gas station then on our way up to Atlanta from Orlando. I have to say the Orlando crew is a great set of guys.
  8. Well in preparing for lexfest i finally added my body kit and some other parts. L-sportline front and rear bumpers as well as side skirts and 3 piece bumper. Made a rear roof spoiler with a low roof line. Had wheel arches painted but still not installed just yet. Eyebrows added to the front headlights a new front chrome strip to replace the old one on the front bumper. Also had the front bumper clear bra'd and waxed the car with meguiars NXT wax. I ended up driving the most to get to lexfest so i won the iron butt award for 1800miles worth of driving from Toronto to Coco Beach then Orlando to then cruise up with the Orlando crew to Atlanta. It was a great drive until 9:05am the Saturday morning of the show. We were in the parking lot of the Hotel and i was leaving for a minute to drop my wife to the mall which is 1 exit (on the 285) away. Some ones truck drive shaft about 5 feet long was lying in the middle of my lane on a curve. I had cars on both side and slowed down to try and get out of the way but i hit my rims bad and bent one about 3 inches back. Luckily i found a shop 3 miles away called wheel wizards who did some amazing work the same day (Monday) to get me back on the road and home. If you ever need any work done for any wheel ship it to them as they have only 2 shops in Atlanta compared to the 10 we have in Toronto and they are well above all of them by far. No more half assed shops for my wheel because they are local again. I'll make a thread for the them and the wheels later. here are the shots. Enjoy.
  9. Does the relay make any noise when you turn the switch on and off?
  10. The solenoid may be sticky from soda or something getting in there.
  11. Adjust the sensor by loosening the bolt and moving it down. By lowering the suspension the rear sensor is now reading it as the the rear is lower which would make the lights point up. By lowering the bolt it think the height in the rear is increased which will make the headlights adjust upwards.
  12. Pb blaster used in multiple applications will clear anything out of them. Compressed air is great but can dislodge junk and cause it to block even worse by compacting it. Also the pressure can disconnect the hoses and cause a leak elsewhere in the car.
  13. It is not bad but seems busy. I have to agree the braking distances seem a bit long .
  14. I would give a local dealer a call and they should be able to give you an idea over the phone . I thought it would just need to be calibrated again. In North America when you register the vehicle with Lexus you can ask for a free manual to be mailed to you. The tire size thing is for you changing to winter rims or others to keep the vehicle speed sensor accurate in rotations.
  15. I was sure someone took pics before. 14 gauge works as well also and should clear it up.
  16. WOW this is the kind of story dreams are made of. You have a dealer bending over for you and i believe they need to be to some point but you are really getting a good run with them. Personally i would just ask them to get a tow truck to start dropping off a loaner and picking up the car when it needs warranty problems from now on. I am sure they will look after it and it would save any more problems.
  17. Green caps are form nitrogen filling stations. If i use air i notice pressure changes like i did on my drive to Orlando and Atlanta in the 2 tires that had air but the 2 that used nitrogen did not have any change in temp or pressure . I do not lose any air in my nitrogen wheels and only a small amount through the air filled ones. Running a 20 inch rim needs a larger psi. The over inflation thing is from shadetrees who have no clue what they are talking about. A higher pressure increases the resistance to potholes on the sidewalls preventing bending the wheels. To prove the fact i went to Toyo tires seminar and they actually have a program that will give you your new tire pressures for the new size wheels generated exactly for the car in question. Mine i supposed to be 44psi .
  18. The dealer has no clue on what is wrong which is why they are telling you to replace both sensors. Do the headlights calibrate at startup by going down and up?
  19. Very nice , i love in depth experimenting and not just hear say. Well done!
