I also jsut mentioned to a member with a 93 to change his rotor and cap as they all go bad eventually and crack which under certain speed can move into and out of place due to centrifical force. a cheap upgrade for power and gas milage

good thought also jr but hsi whole car on the outside is rusty so it is outside in not from the fuel lines itself

hmm a common problem 100% go to the dealer and tell them everything gets back to the lexus team for analysis to improve and restrict even small problems

i see you changed the wires and plugs i am going to say the rotor is cracked change the cap and rotor and it should be fixed 80% sure it is that as you have a 92-93

Damn bruce i wish you posted before getting it fixed There is a guy here who has an ES and justgot a MAF and it didn;t fix his problems so he would have sold it to you dirt cheap. Sorry you don;t like the car, To each his own not all cars are equal but the 92-93 es wasn't the best of the ES models ,i wouldn;t buy one . My cousin is always fixing his 93 and his brothers 92 with something wrong every 6 months or so. Compared to my 94 i haven't fixed anything but a ripped cv boot and power steering pump.Other than that it is running stronger than most but i do maintance vigilantly even if i change the oil every 6 months

in tandem with abs and throttle control on some car to reduce power overall as traction control is more than just abs,just like the yaw and pitch control from the traction control which adjusts the throttle the noise is when abs kicks in when one of the 2 wheels start spinning more than the other if both are then it would reduce throttle until one gets grip and balance accordingly i have been know to be wrong

all 3 of mine increase gas milage and power never mind less carbon build up to rob power and destroy sensros over time

the throttle control is by the traction control being in snow mode i really thought is supposed to make it start in second inan auto from all the info i have read from tests

My bad i thought you were arsking about the stillen stage 2 kit not the green hks mushroom or dome foam filter I would use it anyway foam degrades easy

good thought about the rusty fuel lines JR The filter is probably clogged which rarly ever happens for any other lexus as they are so big

eibachs pro kit spring are slightly stiffer but a much better handling car. You will feel small bumps in the road but nothing much

your power steering runs your cooling fan fix one and you fix both also try searching through the old posts to find the other common overheating problems and fixes for the 92-93

It may be egr or charcoal canister related as those are pretty much the only know ES cel issues you can listen to amf and use cheap gas in your car, but i wouldn't

rims might but not the tires the SC rims look good on the 97-01 es but i don;t like them on the 2nd gen ES 92-96

do a google search and find out how it makes a difference it will be alot to write and read.

Call lexus head office and see if you have the 7 year road side assisstance which basically should be until 2005. Explain your desperate situation and see if they can have it rush delivered. they are great like that.

97-99 are bolt ons for 00-01 just a strip on mine when i did them 7 years ago just bake and pull the headlights are stiffer plastic as it is made for heat closer to an oven than the tails but easy still

If you want to buy LED's go to an electronic store where they cost pennies a peice with different volatges and amperages which will be more useful than the crap radio shack sells all for the price of one diode from radio shack
