  1. Just put back the stock airbox and pipe back on and leave the large ballast that sits behind the bumper connecting to your airbox off. That is the easiest ,cheapest and most efficent way. Your not giving in as such but trying to change the variables to be most effective. let us know how your gas mileage goes. BTW don;t forget to clean your maf wire as wel as i am sure it is full of crud from the hot sticky film in the engine bay.
  2. It is a voltage spike causing them to shake rewire the ballasts.
  3. Keep to the thread and the question not you misguided feelings. Any further dumb non related answers will be deleted.
  4. Me so sorrys for not helping you better my bad as i bow down. You need help not me, you find it arrogent i find it pertinant info. Grow up.
  5. a/c wont cause smoke out of an exhaust pipe. What is the maintance history have your changed your plugs ,wires ,distributer and cap? CLean you MAF
  6. Agreed keep it civil. Just changign the filter element or cleaning it will not chaneg the properties of the intake. The best and cheapest it to use the ctock airbox with a K&N filter( not much if any gain) but by removing the big plastic water/sound ballast it will improve the volume efficency with a reduced intake temp from the short arm. But seriously i know after reading your other post you are going to need a motorvac to remove the deposits left from the short arm . As well as removing the arm intake if you want to keep the carbon build up from reappearing.
  7. Nothing seems to be a compatible unit
  8. Wheels and tires should have no affect on the warr unless they rub badly from being the wrong offsets
  9. Their should be the inital turn on shipe noise from the voltage topping 25000 volts before leveling at 12000.That is the reason fro the change in colour at turn on. If you still hear something after you have a problem. It might be with the bulbs. It also is dependent on what type and make of bulbs and ballasts as none of them are created equally
  10. run the diag for the hvac system in the general maintance section
  11. Another member suggested cleaning your maf as the signal is wrong from it being dirty.
  12. lexus doesn't change both o2 sensor for one failure. That would be just dumb
  13. agreed, i had a salesman trying to tell me where to go and to return to the dealership on a test drive. I put my foot down and told him i am buying a car not him ,i don;t intend to sit behind a car for a few years after a few minutes.
  14. I am unaware of changing sparkplugs ever causing an issue. I am willing to learn something new ,ask your dad why it might cause a problem, thanks If the idle is ok and the pickup isn't lumpy i would narrow down on the ignition system if it is not acting up . Fuel filter would cause a blockage thus using less gas and a much harder to respond engine. They are good things to change as needed though but new plugs will always give a tank or 2 of drastic improvments in milage as they are new until a problem you already has fouls them up again. A motorvac would help greatly especialy if it is an uneven spray pattern.
  15. bart already said it Put back your stock intake, i did mention this before right?
  16. It is different here, nver seen a driver switch off lot. You get the keys they jump in and you drive off. Test drive a smart car and you get the keys for a drive and your off.
  17. It is a common thing to get a blended or blown in bumper as it is common on cars with minor damage to a bumper. It is what is done at auctions for vehicles that need to look ok but the repairs usually never last for more than a year or so before they show deficincies. It is usualyl cheap about 100 bucks a spot depending on the size and work needed. I would only get it for a car i am going to sell but never anything i want to keep. Besides i have seen so many at auction and any person in the buisness can always spot a blown bumper.
  18. Remeber it is nothing personal Kyle i know the weapon r one is crap just by its short arm design , their never has been a design that breathes hot engine air that can creat more power ,It is impossible. i have made 5 designs of intakes for the ES including a short arm, yah at first it seemed better ,but only because the cars engine was cold still. Also the throttle response was improved due to the shorter air pipe. That is the one and only improvment to an engine with an shortarm intake. After makeing 4 more designs with a cold air system the results are definte and proved with a dyno. I know lots of people who had the same design and said they had way more power also then after carbon problems coming out thier asss decide to put back the stock box with out the water ballast and could not belive how much power they lost. You want to say you gained power get a dyno and prove it but i know you won;t be able to . Just as it says in every cars manual " drive carefully, even with active stability controls you cannot defeat the laws of physics"
  19. So agreed. An older GS 92-97 might fit but it was never offered in wood. You want wood ,send yours out and get an inlay for a couple of $100
  20. No nothing for Niagara just yet. Need to get one off the ground before handling another one of these mega meets.
  21. SO i take it you are trying to be a Jackass then 1995.......... I have been around here alot longer than you and most others i think i have more of a good reputation than you can come by. Why do i even bother with stupid people like you.
  22. 30 seconds of bad idle on start up sounds like an IACV ,search it also
  23. It is ok but the ballast are more reliable by having a direct set of wiring to the battery with a relay to turn on.
  24. i heard on the radio ,where are the pics
