    !6 years? That's exceptional. Our lab mix made it to just under 12 years when he got stomach cancer. We haven't replaced him yet.

    Did the vehicle come with the maintenance manual? If not, you should be able to do a search for one. Certainly some of the requirements require action due to length of time vs. mileage.

    Hello, Tessa. Is there an Auto-Electric shop in your area. Those are shops that specialize in resolving electrical drains. I've used them in the past and they tend to quickly locate the culprit.

    I gave them plenty of time but even now, the tools and part has not arrived. It is a huge problem that no one seems to be able to fix.

    There are many parts backlogs for one or more reasons and for many auto suppliers. My 1-month old Supra with 700 miles on it was held up at a dealership for 5 weeks, waiting for a part and special tools. I finally retrieved it, last Saturday. I know someone who had to wait three months for an auto body shop to get and install a body part.

    Bruce, since you are east of Missouri and Iowa, I would think that the Eastern DVD would be the correct one for you. St. Louis is considered to be the gateway to the West. However, I am not certain how Toyota/Lexus defined the East-West line.

    Hello, Joey. Welcome to the forum. Wow! I'm sorry to see all the issues you've experienced. Here in CA, we have a lemon law that can be a lifesaver. Does your state have something like this? By the way, according to Consumer Reports, the 2018 LS500 was rated much worse than average in its used car verdict table.

    Anytime! With that many miles, it doesn't surprise me that the CC is due for replacement. Delayed repair of fuel injectors, spark plugs or oxygen sensors can accelerate a CC's death.

    That code you mentioned is typically due to a failing catalytic converter. Cleaning carbon from the engine is not likely to save it. How many miles are on your odometer? The catalyst in half-filled? Can you provide details about this?

    If it were my vehicle, I'd tell the installer that you would like it replaced, perhaps by an auto body shop. It is both cosmetically irritating and potentially a leak path.
