  1. Have you checked the online Lexus parts stores, such as: https://lexus.oempartsonline.com/ Genuine OEM Lexus Parts and Accessories Online - Lexus Parts Now Shop Lexus Parts and Accessories Online
  2. I have a battery tender plus, which may be the most popular battery tender out there. It works well, although my days of traveling to Asia for one moth are over.
  3. Was it stolen in a parking lot or at your residence? By the way, our Lexus has almost 140,000 miles on odometer and cats. As long as you fix any faulty injectors and/or O2 sensors, (thus far, this has never happened.) quickly the catalytic converter can last much longer.
  4. Have you tried applying graphite powder to the key, pushing it in, then tapping it lightly with a hammer? I had to do that with the ignition key, many years ago, but never had the problem again.
  5. I'm fairly certain that this vehicle uses lithium-ion batteries.
  6. That it seems!
  7. Sorry, but either you have a one in half a million unreliable Toyota or there's something you're not telling us. Toyota/Lexus has always ranked at or right next to the top of Consumer Reports Magazine's list of auto manufacturers that make the most to least reliable vehicles. Our Lexus is almost 19.5 years old and has never had a reliability issue.
  8. According to Consumer Reports magazine. These three all-season tires are much better than average for noise suppression and better than average in ride comfort: Kumho Crugen HP71 Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season ContinentalCrossContact LX25 Micheline CrossClimate SUV tires are better than average in both of the aforementioned attributes. Not everyone may be available for your tire size.
  9. Hi, Kathy. Do you have any auto glass shops in your city? Whenever I had needed a windshield replacement, I called the local auto glass shop. They install at home or work, although with windshields it's better at home to allow for sufficient curing of the bonding elastomer.

    Battery

Some newer vehicles need to be "reset" after a new battery is installed. My Supra falls into this category. Our Lexus battery in Southern California lasts about 5 years. At some point, we see an illuminated warning on the dash. This warning tells us to place the shifter in Park before turning off the engine. That tells me that the battery is getting weak and needs to be replaced. When I had a 2014 Mazda 3 with tech package, the warning included mention of the iEloop system. That was also a sign that the battery needed to be replaced - a dealership job, as the battery needed to be reset. So when the time does come to replace or have replaced your battery (hopefully after a warning is displayed), check to see if others have done it themselves. You may be able to skip the dealership and save money.
  11. Hello, Pierre, and welcome. I think that before I made such a decision, I'd have called the folks at Crutchfield, com. They sell harness kits and adapter plates for many different vehicles. They may still be able to give you advice.
  12. Welcome to the forum, Anon. Run flat tires have come along way since when they were introduced. The sidewalls tend to be stiffer than those of non-runflats, but typically the vehicle's suspension is designed for the type of tires, so compensation for the sidewalls should be expected.
  13. Josh, have you considered calling Lexus Customer Service or flying to LA, CA to resolve the issue. That's what I'd do.
  14. Did the dealership parts person cross-reference the part numbers to see if they are used on other models or did they simply check the part number for availability? Really, though, I've never heard of coil springs that are getting "weak". How did the alignment shop determine this?
