could not changing that lead up to the a/c going out? it shouldnt. a dirty/clogged air filter will slow output but shouldnt stop the whole system, y whats goin on with yours?

these directions would be right if that was what was wrong with it..........OH AND BY THE WAY when u change a battery it doesn't forget your settings and u DONT have to reprogram it. you need to look into faulty door lock actuators. do u notice any of the doors NOT actually locking when u click on the lock button or do u have to manually lock the doors ne of them? next tiem u hit the button check and see if one of them doesnt lock. i'll look for some old posts

depends on u......if u have a 1998 and the last update they made was a 2004....u atleast 6 years behind not to mention the other 4 years u behind. i would recommend ATLEAST doing the 2004 upgrade so u partially up 2 date

i have a 2001 gs430 (which actually isnt slower 0-60) and i get like 15-16 mpg city and 22-24 highway. oh our headlights have a green tint to them on the 01+ models. gs430 was not avaliable with e-shift.....actually makes more power than the gs400 although they use the same motor. this was achieved with a different bore/stroke.

im getting the newest one soon.......wanna buy my old one? u wont find a new one for less thank 260 i dont think so i wouldnt spend over 300 either

u sure u added enough last time? j/k but that is a possibility....she seeing any kind of smoke when driving? i think blue is oil or what they call blowby i think (im not sure but i think this is where oil is getting past the piston rings). im no mechanic, i can do enough to get me outta trouble but motor stuff i do leave to my 2 mechanics.....they great. can u check the compression across the board on the motor?

hi welcome to the club it seems to be just a set of plugs that will run into your factory nav. im fixing to hook up some stuff on my nav but im using something different as i wanna control the ipod ON the factory nav screen and although the newer models have this feature factory ours dont. im gonna pm u some info and what im gonna do

maybe the oil is low？ could be leaking or burning oil. could have a faulty sensor. FIRST THINGS FIRST have her check the oil.....that way if it is low she doesnt lock up the motor. then check the sensor if it still comes on and off. i would be willing to bet she's low,leaking, or burning oil

yes actually says zero. n u still have ALMOST 80-100 miles left in it. i never said u could figure it out from the gps estimates an im sure it has a sensor running into the gps as it tells me when i fill up how many miles i have left......i wanna run her BONE dry and see what it says when i fill up next time

i thought i had replaced mine too but make sure u look really well, i promise one is still burned out. try looking at night or having someone else look also. the dash bulb SHOULD be just for the tailights but i had a faulty 3rd brake light bulb that worked have the time and while i was replacing my taillight bulbs i changed that one and no more light. so just look again but look carefully

I'd like to buy some 01+ tails because I have a small crack in the passenger outer housing. I have the OEM HIDs, do the 01+ housings distribute light better? I also have the auto adjusting feature, would that be compromised? Let's say I found a GS430 (01-05) in a junkyard with nav., could I remove the system, (screen/controls, wiring, unit in the rear) and install it in my car? I live in the North West part of Las Vegas and I will tell you nothing here was built around 2004. Ok, so a few stores, but it has REALLY grown. Could I get an update for 2008 pr possibly 2009 (if I were to wait) if I could install the DVD based navigation? Thank you. no they just have a green tint to them, not if u make sure u get factory oem hid headlights. auto adjusting features i believe are internal in the housing. u could do the nav like that but its more trouble than it would be worth i believe. check with the og's and ask one of them. i know they JUST put out a new update for my generation about 3 weeks ago, they do 2 updates a year but financially isnt worth doing them both. just every other year or something i will do mine. im on 2007 version 7 disc i think
