No for true Xenon you'd have to buy a kit that includes all of the components.
Run a search for "Silverstars" they've been discussed a lot.
Welcome to the site!
Actually there is little difference between a ES300 and a Camry in insurance cost, and repair costs are equal across the board as long as you don't take it to a Lexus dealer.
Sure a Lexus is a fancy car but lets not be too uppity about it, it is a 12 year old Lexus. I see no reason why he shouldn't go for it.
Flashy no, but there are other reasons to install aftermarket rims, better handling, tauter ride etc. I dont think theres anything flashy about the speedline rims.
I mean, chrome spinning 22s you should stay away from ;)
The best guess I've gotten from several sources is it will be out in January 2005 as a 2006 model. I wouldn't use dealers as a reliable source of info as Lexus keeps them as out of the loop as we are.
The 04 doesnt have a shofter like ours 99, its PRND and manual mode which is where you can shift manually and downshift for engine braking.
The 04 is definately a 6 speed.
Actually not the case, the Trac/VSC WAS availiable on the AWD.
The easiest way to know is to look underneath the car for a driveshaft leading to the rear axle.
57,000 miles is literally nothing for a Lexus, they're just getting broken in. If you extrapolate out the mileage its been on the road for 4 years thats not really high mileage at all, its pretty average.
9 times out of 10 a fast blinker simply means one of the blinkers, front or back is burned out. The system is designed that if one bulb is burned out it sends all of the power through the relay to the other socket, causing it to blink faster and letting the driver know a bulb is out.
Toyota has said that before. Supposedly LSportline was supposed to be like that but they chickened out.
Toyota doesn't do niche marketing well. If it wont sell a whole lot, they're not interested. Thats why we dont have stick shift options, big engines, long wheelbase models etc.
Generally you always want to work your way up from invoice. I would start by offering $1,000 over and then asking for a counter-offer, you and the dealer will be able to meet somewhere in the middle.
I'm debating between the Continental ContiPremierContacts and the ContiExtremeContacts myself. I think the Premier's may be a little bit better suited to this car than the more aggressive extremes.
As long as you get one that has proper oil change history theres no problem.
If you can demonstrate yearly changes Lexus will cover the sludging for 8 years unlimited mileage.
My uncle bought my little cousin a totalled Solara when he turned 16, I thought it was kind of a cheapskate idea but he had it fixed and it turned out really well, you'd never even know it had been totalled.
