  1. It has about 24,000 miles. I'm not at all happy with the Bridgestones they're coarse and unrefined not to mention they've worn prematurely.
  2. Well now I have a nail and slow leak in one of the sorry Bridgestone Potenza RE92's on my ES so I'm back shopping for tires. I was seriously considering the Continental ContiPremierContacts until I read that Horta over at CL was very dissapointed in their ride on his LS so they're off the list. I was looking at the Dunlop SP Sport A2 until steviej said he found them to have higher noise than his Bridgestones. So, I'm quite overwhelmed by this decision as what I am most concerned about it maximizing the smooth and quiet ride, handling and treadwear are secondary. So I have it narrowed down to the following tires: Michelin MXV4+ The old standby. Problem with these is their cost, at $123 a peice for the H rated (Almost $140 for the V's that also come on the ES). I'm sure being Michelins they are a good tire, but are they really worth at least $35 more a peice than the next comparable tires? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes Dunlop SP Sport 5000. I have firsthand experience with these tires and know them to be smooth and quiet but they wore fast and cupped, although they were Z rated... $80 a peice http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes Toyo Proxes TPT. These are also somewhat expensive tires but I've heard good things and supposedly Toyo has a 45 day return policy which sounds great. http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebran...odel=Proxes+TPT There are a few others that seem interesting like the Bridgestone Turanza LS-H (also expensive and I've heard some bad things about ride harshness) The Kumho Ectsa HP4 (which are incredibly cheap but I had one tire place say he would sell them too me but not mount them because of the liability) and the Falken Ziex ZE-512 which gets great reviews and is also real cheap... Any advice is appreciated...
  3. Just upload them to the gallery ;)
  4. www.zainobros.com Keep in mind you don't want to use the Zaino leather cleaner or the Leather in a bottle on the escaine simulated suede. Its is only for normal leather.
  5. You can always ask, they may or may not cover it.
  6. Looks great! I agree with TOG that you should clean and dress the wheelwells, nothing detracts from a fresh detail job like dirty wheelwells, it was the first thing I noticed.
  7. No, the truck must be purchased not leased. If its leased then you can only write off the lease payments like I do with my car now. If its purchased then you can write the entire vehicle price up to a certain amount off (or is it the entire vehicle price?) SO, there can be some huge savings for small business owners... 1990LS can post I'm sure he knows more about it.
  8. Precisely why metallized tint is best ;)
  9. I personally didn't take advantage of this deduction because like you I don't care for SUVs and by leasing I got a pretty nice deduction anyways. I pay my taxes quarterly though so I wasn't going to owe much. I agree, run the numbers both ways and figure out which way saves you more in the long run. The LX470 should be over 6000lbs. Does it have to be new? I dont remember.
  10. I'll see if I can find you somebody ;)
  11. Also keep in mind that its usually the people who purchase used that become enthusiasts, the third gen is still rather expensive...
  12. His dealership already replaced it ;) Please loose the caps, its Internet courtesy ;)
  13. Not better, just different. I use the pre-cleaner and the Wolfgang sealant.
  14. Congrats, good taste with the color ;) You don't want to drive the garnet through an automatic carwash. Its very soft and scratches easily. You'd be better off to find a detailer in your area that can hand wash it and take care of it for you.
  15. Who told you tinted windown increased the temps inside the car? That is definately untrue. Good quality tint has much greater heat and UV blocking properties than normal glass. Just have a car tinted and get in it after its been sitting in the sun, huge difference.
  16. Naa not yet...
  17. It came out great!
  18. For the seats I reccomend a solution of Woolite and Water dilluted 6 parts water to 1 part woolite. Use a small brush (even a toothbrush) to get in all the stitching and clean it out. For the seatbelts and the rest of the Interior I reccomend 1Z Cockpit Premium which can be purchased from www.lexuscarcare.com
  19. Oh yes it will come out, new cars can be the worst because they sit on the lot in the sun, ride on trains and boats etc.
  20. Jeff- That looks great, I think you'll be pleased! Mark, Thats a good combination I've used it myself. You might want to look at the Poorboys Natty Wax to go over the EX. Never used it and P21S is great but I've heard good things. Also be sure to get the Poorboys Polish with Carnuaba and not the Pro Polish.
  21. All sealants are going to be liquid. You don't have to use sealants, sealants just typically last longer than waxes and don't suffer from the heat. Poorboys EX and EX-P are great products but they are thick liquids and can be somewhat difficuly to work with. Couple other ones you can look at are Wolfgang which is a very easy to use and thinner 2 step sealant or something like 1Z Glanz Wax. If you'd like to stay the traditional wax route I'd suggest Meguiars # 16 great look and great durability for a wax.
  22. You'd think so but no it doesn't.
  23. Yeah just upload them to the gallery and you can link them to your post by right clicking to properties and highlighting the URL listed there. What all did you order
  24. The dealership waxed the car unless you asked them not to, so there's no real rush as the paint is protected. I would clay and then polish and wax and you should be set, look around the forums to get info and products to use for that. I take it you have the new Sport Design? Post some pics!
