Thats assuming no keys have ever been replaced on his vehicle, which is likely. Definately call. Also I don't know how you got new keys and the labor to install the ECU for $150. One remote master key from the dealership costs $300 and the labor rate for a Lexus dealer is between $90-$100 an hour. Make sure you buy at LEAST two keys. If you don't and you loose your only master key, then you're back in the same boat. You can get the keys cheaper (about $150) from www.lexus-parts.com

How can a company that deliberately disables features of phones supported by other manufacturers to force their customers to use their pay per use features and strong arms phone companies into crippling their phones by threatening to illegally blacklist ESNs be "the best". Verizon may spend a lot to brainwash people into thinking they're "the best" but every dealing I've had with them (including a drawn out experience trying to get my peice of garbage V710 repaired or replaced) has told me that they don't diserve anyone's business. I will be paying my $350 to get out, and I will make it my personal mission to dissuade as many people as possible from buying Verizon service. They are such an unethical company it should be (and may be depending on the outcome of these lawsuits) criminal. DO NOT BUY VERIZON SERVICE. DO NOT BE TEMPTED BY THEIR CLAIMS OF BEING THE MOST RELIABLE CELL NETWORK. THE SERVICE MAY BE GOOD, BUT ITS WORTH TAKING A SMALL DEGRADATION IN SERVICE TO USE A COMPANY THAT TREATS ITS CUSTOMERS IN AN ETHICAL MANNER. Sprint is almost as bad. Looks like the last best hope lies with Cingular.

Ehhh that really depends. My bodyshop charges $500-$800 to repaint a bumper depending on what color it is. They have computerized paint matching and color measuring systems though.

LOL why are they 's for being angry because you damaged their property? Why shouldn't they want top dollar for their sale, you would if you were selling your property. Wanting to get the maximum amount possible for one's property when conveying it is hardly a bad thing. Whats lacking in this country is people's ability to put themselves in other people's shoes. Be careful doing touchups, they will make you pay for improperly done repairs also.

I saw one at Lexus of Rockville last week Matt. Very nice in person, like all Lexus vehicles it looks much better in person than in photographs. Has some great features like the new Mark Levinson 7.1 Surround DVD Audio system which is awesome. Beautiful car, I'd buy one but its no bigger inside than my ES so I'll have to wait and see the new LS.

You're not going to like this. You can't get another master key if you currently do not have one. The way the Lexus system is designed you need ONE master key to program other master keys. Since you only have a valet key you need to replace the engine ECU to program new master keys, a $1500 job. Now, some say Lexus will pay to do this ONE time in a vehicles life, may want to look into that, otherwise I dont know what to tell you.

blake- Verizon service is not at all what it used to be and not what its cracked up to be, overrated Sprint was much better. I'm paying $350 to get out of my Sprint contract next month, thats how much I don't like it.

You can't enter names in the system, you'd have to do that with the phone.

Yes, if you can get something to link up phonebooks then you can use whatever phonebook is in the car to dial the phone. A PDA or something like that maybe. Its common that phones ring and not the system for some reason, the V710 doesn't ring at all, not even the phone.

None that I know of. I found one place in VA that specified Lexus vehicles but never could find anybody to talk to. I'd LOVE to find one so I'm watching this too. As an aside, if you join the gold member program we have special pricing at Lexus of Rockville.
