  1. This is going nowhere good. "moms lexus" decided not to play by the rules I laid out when I welcomed him, so he can join his brother on the banned list. I don't think its any loss to us LOC is welcoming to everyone who wants to be mature and civil to discuss anything they want, childish neener neener games and flame wars are not tolerated. Closed ;)
  2. Drive a 2000 and see if it does it, if it doesn't swap out the spoilers ;)
  3. I've heard that its impossible to install aftermarket headunits in RXs...I'll let people more familiar with this chime in.
  4. Which is an excellent point.
  5. It may depend on the exterior color.
  6. Yep thats the Analine UL Ecru interior with the smoke colored birds eye maple, discontinued after 2003. The 04=05 has Ecru but it is much darker and has golden birdseye wood. That ecru is so light its almost white, stains terribly thats why they discontinued it. Can't even wear jeans on those seats because the color will bleed through.
  7. They're being straight with you, thats about as cheap as they get.
  8. Eh the RL's got nothing on the LS, its nice but not in the same class. FWD biased AWD, V6, smaller, less affluent looking (doesn't even look like a luxury car IMHO).
  9. But you don't walk by the car with the key in your pocket. Thats what drains the system. The manual even says to deactivate the smart key system if parking for 2 weeks or more. My guess is its the effect of the smart key on an already weak battery after sitting on the lot.
  10. Looks like alpine silver to me, millenium is more tan. Maybe its just the photo. Best color combo on the 98-00 LS BTW, thats what my dad's 98 was.
  11. Its bass +3, mid +2, and treble +4. Dont know how that translates into the stock headunit's readout but there it is. He also adjusted the fade and balance off of 0 but I can't tell how to explain that to you because the nav car has a grid for adjusting that. Again, like Alan said its all personal preference but the stereo sounds much better to me set this way than it did when I fooled with it.
  12. Damn AGAIN AGAIN! Okay this time I'm going out to see, hang on lol
  13. You got it, that'll be my contribution to the restoration!
  14. Thats right Matt lol, now I'm legit! Army- Nope, no Lexus frame. I do have a chrome rimmed frame though. Hey, you want a Lexus frame? I have two off of my dad's old LS400 when he traded it (he bought new frames) just sitting in the garage, they're a little pitted but nothing some chrome polish couldn't fix upIf you wanna cover shipping they're all yours. I like the look of the Lexus frames but they cover up the "Treasure the Chesapeake" on the MD bay plates and they're annoying to clean. BTW, your polishes came back apparently they had insufficient postage. This time I'll mail them MYSELF and make sure they have enough postage LOL. If you want the frames I'll throw em in there for ya. As for the check, LOL its the biggest check I've ever written. I called around but the best rate I could get on a lease buyout was 6.5% which wasn't great, with that in consideration it was better to liquidate some lower performing investments than to pay the interest.
  15. Oh boy now am I going to be nervous parking it places lol
  16. If its an established company as in a turnkey business (a turnkey business is one you just buy and run, you dont have to build or design etc) then there are a lot of financing options that are availiable and business flex loans with flexible repayment schedules. One thing you need is a good accountant, trust me. I just bought my car out of the lease (see thread in the ES forum) and my accountant ran all kinds of numbers for me so I could decide if it was a good idea or not. They are worth their weight in gold.
  17. This is a 2004/2005 This is an 01-03 Basically the difference is in the front and rear clips and the wheels. The 01-03 is a little softer looking and the 04-05 is sharper and more aggressive.
  18. Its entirely possible you just havent seen a lot of 04s. They don't sell a lot of LS430s... I'll get you pics.
  19. This is the interior I mean: Thankfully for 2004 the black comes with normal walnut wood.
  20. The trim is actual wood... Can you see where its come loose? It may just snap in.
  21. I definately agree, I meant to say that it was a shame few systems come with them anymore. Damn AGAIN, I forgot to check the settings lol, I will remember eventually Ming I promise.
  22. There are a lot of loans out there, and what a lot of people don't know is there are a lot of GRANTS also, especially for younger people. The beauty of a grant is that you don't have to pay it back. What kind of business venture are you looking at starting? That makes a difference as to what loans and grants you qualify for.
  23. Saw the new GS in person today. Very nice, black on black AWD GS300 fully loaded. I was at the dealer and the salesmen were having their introduction to the new GS. Very nice, much nicer in person. Very sporty yet classy looking. Two interesting things: 1. The licence plate lamps and most interior lamps are LED. Casts a very nice white light that looks very clean. 2. The optitron gauges have 7 different illumination and hue modes that constantly shift depending on the ambient light so that the gauges are always at their most optically perfect. Very nice.
  24. It has been known to happen, I don't know that its a universal thing. Do you have repair records on the car?
  25. Who knows, maybe she took an impromptu trip to Dallas lol
