  1. I've never seen his work myself (I have in pictures) but I've referred my customers to him and they've always been satisfied.
  2. Just because you dont care for it doesn't make it a stupid decision to make it, thats rediculous. Pleny other people are very interested in SUVs with more than adequate acceleration. Buying the "h" isn't supposed to make your realize the difference, its an upgrade.
  3. Yes I'd agree, dogboy's no flake he's just moved on. He did post for the last time over a year ago...
  4. Congratulations, you and your LS will be happy for many miles to come... The ding isn't a big deal, it can be removed by any PDR shop for $100 or so.
  5. Jon- A2Z strips alloys in no time flat?!? People use it at Autopia all the time and I've never heard of that happening...
  6. Its worth pics to us! We like to see em all ;)
  7. I know you're getting into strut territory but the warranty's not going to pay for them, and I also know that you can have some lower ball joint failure at that mileage but they're not likely to cover that either. Other than that not a lot. These cars dont have a lot of "common problems".
  8. Do you have maintenance records for the car? Honestly I don't think extended warranties are worth it for the LS, they're very reliable as it is and I doubt you'd get your money back out of it.
  9. Yeah they operate cooler and draw less power.
  10. Naa I doubt that, HID bulbs run MUCH MUCH cooler than standard bulbs.
  11. Which is exactly who the candy is marketed to. I think this is another example of our society being to suit happy, if you don't like the candy don't let your kids eat it.
  12. I've used polishes like the ColorX on real wood panels before and never had a problem. In my experience if you can use it on paint, you can use it on real wood trim. I agree you should always try the least aggressive step first though.
  13. I dont know why it makes you hate the 400h though, just don't buy one. If you're not interested then the vehicle obviously wasn't designed for you. Many vehicles like the RX have two models one with a V6 and one with a V8, Lexus is just doing their higher performance version a little differently thats all. Most people are happy with the V6 model but some want the V8, thats why its nice to have a choice.
  14. Not going to have them period if we don't abolish blacklisting ESNs. Too many free features the companies can't profit off of. Or if we do get them half of that will be shut off. I find the article pretty naiive, the reason Americans don't exploit the internet on thepir phones is because it comes to us detuned. Companies disable the DUN (dial up networking) functions so we can't use our phones as portals for our laptops without buying expensive cables and paying insane usage fees. The reason we don't have these technologies is not that America doesn't want them, its that Americans aren't allowed to have them.
  15. I would reccomend you use a light polish, if you want something availiable locally you could use Meguiars ColorX. Polish it out using straight strokes and it should come out ;)
  16. Not really actually, I haven't found one. I do know a private detailer I can reccomend in VA, he's mobile so depending on where you live he'd probably come out to you. If you want his info shoot me a PM. EDIT- Well post one more time to make 20 posts THEN shoot me a PM ;)
  17. You've got to be the only person on earth that wouldn't want any performance out of a Cayenne, only gas mileage lol
  18. You need to buy the HID lamp, the reflector housings are different to accept the different type of lighting element and the different reflector shape to provide the proper beam pattern. Plus the lights have an autolevelling feature, you need to get the HID lamp. I second the advice to tape up the lamp, those HID bulbs are $150 each. Once it gets wet it'll be ruined. $1700 isn't that bad for all that damage, could have been worse. I do see some warping of the bumper cover down by the foglight that may or may not be able to be smoothed out...
  19. LOL, thats funny.
  20. We're quiche heads from waaay back ;)
  21. The 2005 ES' have 17s and I drove one, there is a difference in the ride, bumps and expansion joints are a little sharper etc. I kick it around from time to time. If I did 17s I know just the wheels I'd use too... Actually I've had worse luck with letting other people hand wash it than I've had running it through the carwash. The wash I usually use is whats called a Laserwash it just uses high pressure jets of water and doesn't have any cleaning media that touches the car. They don't work very well though and I've run it through a brushless wash a couple times. I've learned that the only way to wash it is to wash it myself. GS is lookin good!
  22. LOL there you go!
  23. What SRK and Econ are saying is maybe at this junction in your life making your car look and run better shouldn't be one of your top priorities. Look at it as a hobby, you have more important things to worry about. Mmmm, quiiiiiiche.
  24. Trying to say something? I'm glad the quoting function is so difficult, it keeps the riffraff off our board.
  25. September/October.
