  1. Happy Birthday bud!! :D
  2. Is the car still under factory warranty?
  3. bridlewood......shot in the dark here.....but are you located in the Bridlewood area of Scarborough? Just curious as that's where I'm from originally. B) As for the tires.....in addition to what has already been mentioned.....I would seriously consider the Toyo Garit KX or the Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSi. See below for more info. Also if your interested & are in the area I asked about above, I have an excellent tire contact I can set you up with.....best prices in the GTA! Nokian info: http://www.nokiantires.com/tyre?id=11880&a...kkapeliitta+RSi Toyo info: http://www.toyocanada.com/products/GaritKX.asp Hope this helps. B)
  4. Car looks awesome! B)
  5. Welcome to LOC Collider. I would caution you to not put 'steel' wheels on any vehicle that is factory equipped with alloys (steel wheels are much heavier than alloys & you will cost yourself bigtime in handling, unsprung weight, fuel economy etc). Why exactly do you think that you will get more of a 'German' type ride if you switch to steel wheels? My best suggestion is to upgrade to a larger alloy wheel (perhaps an 18 or 19" Lexus alloy) with higher performance tires. That will help alot to accomplishing what you want to do......but remember that is not really the ES 350's mission as it's a FWD car to begin with. If your looking for better handling & more overall performance in a sports sedan, I suggest you give the IS or GS models a try. ;)

  7. Looking good Steve! I've been saying that about the H rated tires for years anyways. ;) How much longer do you expect to keep your ES for?
  8. Hey guy's, The headlights burned out on my Wife's Forester the other day (Sylvania Xtra Visions which were on par with OE bulbs at best & lasted less than 2 years). Anyway after doing quite a bit of research a friend at one of my other clubs put me onto this place out of the U.K. & they came VERY highly recommended... http://www.powerbulbs.com/ I was going to try the Silverstar's or the Silverstar Ultra's, but found a ton of people who have had them fail less than a year which was disappointing & they are like $50+ for a set. Powerbulbs.com prices are very reasonable (even compared to Tirerack) & they offer free shipping worldwide (which is buried into the price I know). Very professional folks & they answered all my questions fast. I ended up ordering 2 set's of these for the Subi... http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=43 I was not able to find these anywhere in Canada and wanted something much brighter considering the rural roads we have in these parts with no street lights on the outskirts of town & deer are a problem. For my ES....I picked up these Fogs... http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=52 They also tossed in a set of these sidelights for no charge... http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=31 Anyway, if anyone needs any type of replacement bulbs for their rides.....consider giving these guys a try. B) I also found this site interesting should anyone have questions about the different bulbs on the market....very informative... http://www.danielsternlighting.com/
  9. Yeah the damage isn't too bad....you'll get her fixed up. ;)

  11. You won't be able to convert your GS sedan into a wagon for $2 - $3k......not even close. But it wouldn't hurt to e-mail Lexus UK to get their reaction to the idea......I'd love to see Lexus offer a wagon. B)
  12. Your 'overall' diameter is right at the 3% threshold for what you are considering (anything over the 3% mark is not recommended). Your speedo also will be off by 3.085%. Tough call....you 'should' be okay.....I would double check with a couple of tire shops....let us know what they say.
  13. Looking good! B)
  14. Another vote for Tirerack.
  15. red, what items are you referring to that the ES is missing that the Deville has? I don't disagree what Steve about the LS......when comparing it to the Deville.....they are close to being the same size. At least drive one before you commit to the ES. The LS was out of my league (mainly because of finding a nice lower mileage for a reasonable price & one other factor was the RWD and winter weather we see in these parts.....not enough dough for a second set of wheels & tires). I also didn't 'need' a V8 engine. Keep us posted on what you do & have close look at the 'certified pre-owned' section of Lexus.com. Good luck.
  16. Hate to say it (I guess I'm getting old & being a Dad wears me out, but I love it! :D ) but I just use a swiffer for my dash & to dust the interior.....I use to be so fussy & have OCD when it came to detailing my rides....but now I'm cleaning up pablum, cookie, crusted mild on my black leather seats, you name it. :whistles: I give up!
  17. I run my 05 on regular & get fantastic fuel economy. As for the brochure.....as SW suggested, give e-bay a try if your looking for a 'hard copy' you can refer to down the road (If I had an extra one, I would mail it to you.....but I only have the one 05). If your looking for an online copy, try here... http://www.toyotareference.com/#ES02 Try & find a brochure specifically for the ES only....they have the 'full line' brochures that do not have as much detailed info on the ES. ;)
  18. Yes we did. B) I've posted it before.
  19. It's hard to argue against Michelin's......& if we are talking a GS 300, those two choices are about the best in an all season tire. What year is your GS alawi?
  20. Well said Steve.....stay clear of those ES400's.
  21. Any decision yet Steve? :)
