  1. You had all these problems & it was suppose to be a Lexus CPO vehicle? WOW! :(
  2. I don't remember you asking the question back then :whistles: & you mentioned Hankook's? Do you have Toyo's or Hankooks? & Which model specifically?
  3. Your owners manual should give you the answer. B)
  4. 128 MPH (207 kp/h) in my 91 Buick Riviera. :whistles:
  5. How bad is it? Can you post some pics to show us?
  6. The very best 'factory' (OE size) original tire you can get currently is the Goodyear Triple Treads......next would come the Falken Ziex ZE-512. If you want long mileage with excellent performance in bad weather & a comfortable ride.....by far these are your best bet's! (I will be putting one or the other on my ES when my Toyo's wear out....my wife has the Falkens on her car now & my Dad has the Triple Treads....both are fantastic!) B) Let me know if you have anymore questions. B) http://www.goodyearassurance.com/ http://www.falkentire.com/tires_512.htm
  7. Ok everyone, Turn up your speakers & click the link below. You will be in fit's of laughter! :whistles: :D Enjoy! B) http://toccionline.kizash.com/films/1001/139/index.php
  8. I used the lexol cleaner and conditioner on my LS and Rx330. I'm gonna see how it looks, and determine if i should stick with it on all my cars... I do worry about every little thing that enters my cars. I'm pretty crazy!!! ← I've heard that is pretty good stuff. I use to worry about every little thing on my cars too.......not any more, it's just a car. ;)
  9. Some leather treatment once every 6 months wouldn't be a bad idea & won't take that long to apply. B)
  10. Depends how strong the chlorine is in the water.......a bit of water from a wet bathing suit or damp towel won't hurt that much, but if the leather keeps getting soaked with it & the chlorine content is high.....it will damage & dis-colour the leather. B)
  11. I'm gonna call up my dealer (aka the rip-offers) tomorrow to see whay they think... ← They will probably suggest the same thing I did or try to get u on the hook for a huge repair bill. :whistles: ← Probably right....They will do anything for more money... ← That's why I suggest to put on a leather conditioner & don't sweat it as you mentioned it's not actually torn, just scratched ;)

  13. Exactly! B)
  14. I just have a box of tissues in my back seat & an emergency kit in my trunk! lol :whistles: But I hear ya.....my wife has crap all over the place in her car too. :whistles:
  15. WOW! :whistles: Good luck with the leather repair & carpet cleaning lol
  16. What kind of stuff is piled back there? lol
  17. That set up is for the RX330, not the RX 300.....totally different vehicles & generations of RX were talking about here. In the 255 55 18 size, any odo & speedo changes should be kept to a minimum. ;) Have a look for yourself as to what is recommeded. B) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/OptionalTire...00&autoModClar=
  18. I wouldn't worry about it too much......try using some leather conditioner & protector to see if that helps. If the leather is not actually torn, I don't think there is very much one can do anyways (for not a lot of money anyways). Over time, it will 'blend' in with the rest of the interior I'm betting from a wear & tear standpoint. B) Don't sweat the small stuff Lex. ;) The coffee stain should be able to come out with a proper (perhaps 'industrial' strength) carpet cleaner. Perhaps even have it 'steam cleaned' & use a could can of 3M scotch guard afterwards (available for a few bucks at Walmart as well as many other retailers). This way, any future spills will clean up easier when attended to fairly quick after the fact. Apply the 3M stuff as per instructions on a nice sunny day & open all the windows & roof to let it dry properly. B)
  19. Had a very close look at the Pilot this week. It's too big (and heavy) for what we need, not to mention it's considered an 8 passenger SUV. :( Nice vehicle nonetheless (and a good suggestion) but just a bit too much vehicle for what we need I'm afraid. :( We also have a very close look at the new Ford Freestyle too when we took my wife's car into the Ford dealer for an oil change & tire rotation. Very sharp looking vehicle & just the right size with excellent & brilliant packaging in the interior! But several things... First & foremost, it grossly underpowered even with the CVT tranny! (3.0L Duratec 203 hp & 207 torque for a 4000lb vehice!......look at the Nissan Murano to see my point) :chairshot: Why Ford didn't wait until their upcoming 3.5L V6 was ready (or at least offer it as an option) is behond me. It's no wonder GM & Ford are loosing market share hand over fist! Next brings me to the factory 17" tires......they are Contientials & are actually worse than the Bridgestone RE92's & EL42's! :o :whistles: & there are no decent replacements for it, which includes any winter rubber (Goodyear Integrity's? no thanks) and the vehicle has been available for almost a year now. What good is having an AWD vehicle (especially in the winter) if the tires are horrible with nothing out there to replace them with? Sorta defeats the purpose. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp...at=All&x=69&y=5 And last, but not least......well it's a first year issue & a Ford which brings up long term longevity & reliability into question.
  20. But a marketing ploy with huge discounts! lol But one will take a huge beating at trade in time no doubt. ;)
  21. It sounds like you turned off the engine without doing any serious damage to the engine. What oil filter did you use when this happened? As mbrurn mentioned the dino oil you used is decent for your car, but if you have no leaks currently, you might want to consider switching to synthetic oil....Mobil 1 or Amsoil are the best & most popular. Use their oil filters as well or K & N makes a very good oil filter too. Good luck!
  22. If your going to an 18" size, no the 225 is not necessarily the correct size. The size you need is 235 50 18 according to tirerack. And in that size, your best bets are: - Michelin Pilot Sport A/S These are a fantastic ultra high performance all season, but you might have heart failure once you see what they cost! http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp...t=All&x=68&y=14 - BF Goodrich g-force T/A KDWS http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes Those are your best bets....the Pirelli P-Zero Neros you mention do not come in that size, not do Falken's or Toyo all seasons. Good Luck! B)
  23. Ben, I have replied to your request in the RX Forums. ;)
  24. What is the exact tire size you need heather? Is it the 215 45 17 size? Let me know & I will be better able to suggest specific tires.
  25. The 18" tire size recommended for your 2000 RX is 255 55 18 so I don't know for sure if you can use the OE set up. I'd leave the factory size you have on now personally. Just my 2 cents. B)
