  1. engine controls wiring diagram from a 95 sc3.... va109318.pdf va109319.pdf va109320.pdf
  2. You won't void your warranty for changing your own oil, just keep your reciepts as everyone one else has already mentioned. Also, maybe once a year let an oil change place or indy shop do it and get a receipt from them. When toyota replaced the engine on my V6 solara all they asked for was proof that i changed the oil at least once a year w/ proof. I did all of my work myself or afterhours at a friends shop but I was able to come up with enough reciepts to get my rebuilt engine. Just don't go ripping your engine apart or modifying anything and you should be fine.
  3. in closing... many moons later... i tried the seafoam out on another car of mine (160k) and it... well worked miracles... however i didn't try it out of my gs3 and I don't plan on trying it as I don't feel the need to fix something that isn't broken, several oil changes later about 2.7k intervals with mobil 1(i got a boatload for cheap) and the engine has quieted down, no more noticeable ticking. Thanks for all the info and feedback guys I'd be lost without it!
  4. Thats a tough find, you'll have to try your local junkyards or check craigslist for your area and see if anyone is parting one out.
  5. They're both great cars but the GS400 does have a lot more power, so it is just a matter of what you want. I'd go with the gs300, even though the gs400 is great on gas I don't go around racing so no need for the larger output. the inline 6 is great for me. Or just go with one that has the better service history.
  6. I got the michillen exalto v-rated tires from costco, cost about $130 mounted, balanced, w/ nitrogen and new valves. there was a $60 rebate at the time, they also have the H rated exaltos which are decent also. other than that, i'd just say get some kumho's.
  7. Stoners Invisiglass works great, use with microfiber or low lint paper towel even. It may take a couple of uses the first time you use it but after the second treatment there shouldn't be any streaks or haze. Before tinting however I just use ammonia, straight, non diluted, smells horrible but cleans great just don't sniff the the stuff.
  8. Anyone know of any good ding specialist... no junior high school humor intended... in the NYC or Long Island area... a shopping cart left a nice calling card on my front passenger door. I don't know how long I could go with my doors having "dimples"
  9. I've taken care of my oil, atf, coolant, brakes, tires, plugs, air filter, differential fluid, now just time to change the power steering fluid except i've never done this. Any tips? tutorials? The cap suggest tranny fluid any reccomendations?
  10. There are plenty of great upgrades for your GS... but none will be or should be cheap.... yeah.. and why so curious about the torgue converter? i mean, it just converts torque ya know... what it converts it to or from is up to you to find out.... Just don't rice it out.
  11. Wow, My gs300 got rear ended this month also. Liberty Mutual is also handling my claim.... they're jerks. Besides that, if the work is done right (the place liberty mutual recommended will probably BS a lot) and you can't tell that the car was in an accident they're won't be any significant drop in value because CARFAX reports don't tell you how severe the damage was and give you no idea of what kind of damage occured. CARFAX just tells you that there was an accident and as long as your car wasn't written off as totaled, that shouldn't raise any flags. I'm still waiting for my liberty mutual check to clear but I've already gotten my car done and its better than new, just make sure you get a good shop, the place liberty mutual wanted me to go to looked like a doctors office but i knew they outsourced their work to some seedy place. I actually made a good profit off of my accident. After all the work is done. all the water sanding that is done should be smooth as silk, all colors should match exactly, all parts should line up exactly, and DO NOT TAKE ANY BS FROM ANYONE, if something doesn't line up right, they did a bad job and have to fix it. Goodluck with getting your work done. Don't worry much about your value as long as the car looks and runs like new when you want to sell it... although i couldn't imagine selling my lex.
  12. I like this thread... being that I live on LI and too many places seem dishonest or incompetent. Also just got rear-ended the other day anyone know a good body shop in LI?
  13. If you're losing antifreeze somewhere sounds like you have bigger problems than just no heat.
  14. yeah... .um like the man said, he already checked ebay. Although I'm sure canada may have a junk yard or two... and if you contact the seller on ebay they may make an exception assuming you absorb the responsibility of any taxes incurred.
  15. NOS stickers, loud oversized exhaust and other shiny stuff, just kidding. Tires... they can make a world of difference... skidpad... braking... roadkill...
  16. 1/5th ( about $400 or something) of the price is still a lot for something most junk yards aren't even sure will last a week or year unless you can get info on the donor car. i see some on ebay... heres one.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LEXUS-MASTE...sspagenameZWDVW
  17. I'm looking forward to that EGR removal write up. Goodluck with your project feel free to take a wack at my car whenever you feel up to it. :D
  18. I have the OEM rims and there aren't even scratched, no visible warping, no leaks, and if they were warped... i'm sure someone would've pointed that out the many times i've had the wheels balanced. I'm wondering if i should just get the daizen control bushing kit and see what happens.
  19. i was thinking of those too, i'm just scared they may look cheesy becuase i haven't actually seen them on any cars.
  20. I've taken the door panel off of my 02 gs3, its not too difficult to remove just make sure you find where all the screws are. I'd say just take a look at it to see if anything is obviously out of place. If the power window motor is going visit a junk yard.
  21. wow, you guys are fast. Thanks for the info!
  22. I was thinking about buying one of those grounding kits i see for sale everywhere online... or even rigging my own. The idea behind it is to lower electrical resistance by creating better grounding points. Is this stuff worth the $40 to 120 i see it advertise for?
  23. Thanks Guy! Question 2- just replaced front rotors and pads and braking is still "spongy". Still feels the same as before. Calipers need replaced also? Probably not, just bleed your brakes.
