Well i got them yesterday and.. first of all the are not OEM but very good aftermarkets. They fit perfectly and look great. They also have the L so my cars rims look great now. Let's see how long they last...

When i got my car the phone seemed to work and turn off the radio and everything. I wish i could have gotten it to work. I'd even use the brick phone. Hell i would have even activated it if Verizon offered the service. Wasn't that phone hands free? Wow talk about advanced for 93. Anyways i always thought that original phone was cool. Vintage cool. I took it out of my car. Took up precious storage space.

Sorry about your car. Must be frustrating. Well since your in the market get a Cheap Ls430 or Upgrade to a Ls460 in a couple months. Or.. the new S-class looks pretty dope. I also heard/read that Merc worked really hard on makin the S-class reliable. Maybe just lease it and if it sucks, you don't own it!

Welcome! Congrats on your LS I love mine. Pretty much everyone here loves their car. Lexus must've done somthin right! to answer your question, make sure the timing belt was changed. I know my car no records for the past 3 years but the dealer put a sticker saying it was changed at 177k in jan 04. My car now has 214k. Sit down and enjoy it. People here are nice and friendly. Ok I am not selling them but i just bought a set of four NEW center caps for my ls. I think i hit a curb and lost one. Dang its ugly. Also the others are peeling so.... Anyway i was searchin for a used one but they are epensive. So i checked ebay and guess what brand new caps for 15 bucks! if you buy four you get free shipping! 60 bucks for 4 new caps is a good deal. The guy also sells lexus bushings and hood struts. They seem cheap and oem too. Just thought I'd let people know. Have a nice day!

So currently i have some Dunlop Sp somthin on my car and the previous owner did not align the car or rotate the tires so tey are all worn unevenly. Anyway i am looking for the impossible. Cheap, quiet, good traction, steering response. I really don't care about how long they will last because well 20,000 miles is a long time from now. So i was lookin at the Kuhmo Solus and they looked pretty good and their reviews on tire rack seemed pretty good as well. Any suggestions? DO you think maybe the Kuhmo Ecstas are too aggressive for an LS?

I have seen as good as 24 with fast hwy driving. I am aggressive but safe and polite. That might sound like an oxymoron but i always let people in if they are polite. Anyways in city urban driving i see about 18? not too bad with my lead foot. I am thinking of doing seafoam on my first oil change. Is wal-mart that bad? 25 bucks for an oilchange seems good to me! Ah btw in a month and a half i have put 3300 miles on my car. Crazy miles for a teen huh? Sometimes i'm bipolar with the gas. I might turn off the ac and ease along and try to hear the whispering engine... and a minute later turn on ETC and power off a ramp. I should get a smaller car to thrash around. Sorry.. i babble.

I just looked at your Black Jade. Your car is incredible. Wow. Looks brand new... no joke. Maybe we can switch if you care about speed. :) 8.3 0-60 isnt too far from stock. Pearl White sound good? This might sound weird but i would rather have a very clean first gen LS over almost any new car. I guess thats good cause thats all i can afford! And you have an SRT8! And you had an NSX! Yep its all about age/money ratio. I have a 93 ls400 and a 92 es300 5-speed. Love them both. Got em cheap as dirt too! haha. I wish i got a new ls430. too bad i'm poor. Too much power for me. I speed and don't even know it. I can't even imagine what a new one must be like!

Well i think it aired back in 1989. If you check youtube for camry+top gear you'll see what i'm talkin about. It's really old school. They do a review of the camry xle v6. pretty interesting to see what people thought of these cars when they were new.

Well i know the old ls400 was reviewed on Top Gear and i was wonderin if anybody had a copy of the review. I would love to hear what those english guys had to say about it. Anyways even if you don't have copy... does anyone know what episode it was on? i've been wanting to watch that review for some time. I love Jeremy Clarkson. He's ridiculous. I think he's been quoted on saying that its the best car in the world (except for streering feedback).

WWJD What would Jesus drive? I mean really. I don't know if i like Mel but i love his car. I think i've read somewhere that the ls430 has on of the best built interiors in the world... regardless of price. Pretty divine if you ask me. hahaha :)

Well i have decided to go the ghetto route. For now anyways. Im gonna buy some white glow in the dark paint and paint some pinstripe tape and tape it to the needle. Then buy a UV black light and plug it in the cig lighter and charge the paint the uv light at night. or... install a uv light in the cluster and make it have independant power. Ohh ghetto fabulous indeed. haha i will do this one weekend. i will keep yall updated.

hmm $200 to fix an unlit needle.... I would have to work for 28+ hours just to pay for a needle light . Maybe i'll just paint the tip in glow in the dark paint just so i can see it better. Man i'm ghetto. I will try to find nickel plate. Does this work for totally unlit needles? how about a little more than a hint? are you sworn to secrecy?

Hey guys i have a question about the LS400 gauges. When a needle is unlit is the proplem a bad capacitor or somthing else? I've searched all over the forums and have yet to find a solid answer. i really want my speedo neede lit up but like everyone i dont want to spend too much. I'm pretty handy so If i got the instructions i'm sure i could do it. Thanks guys. -omar

Hey i can'tsend PM's for some reason but i was reading old posts and people said you know all about the oem head units. My tape player doesn't work and i was wondering if i could buy the parts and instructions to replace the belts and stuff. thanks omar

I do just have to say that i'm starting to hate my car. It's making me overly sensative to small things... like a light NORMAL tapping or a bit of vibration when braking. I would probably over maintain my car if my wallet allowed. So age old question... should i start her on synthetic? Also what does Seafoam do? I'm sure your LS is fine. I will jump on the bandwagon and say alternator. Sucks that it happen on your first drive. oh well. What color is your LS?

If only i could get this done for my nano... and in the oem stereo. I was thinkin about actually doing this mod. What do yall think.
