so i was lookin on ebay for a lexus and found one. A 93 ls400. bought it. But on my search i came across this very interesting looking car. What do yall think. The bidder never paid. I did a search already but maybe i'm not putting the right keywords. Anyways thanks for the prompt response. My timing belt was replaced at 178k and i'm at 211k. I'm not to worried. I think i'm in love.... with my car. just want to keep her a while. :)

So as i get used to my car which is going on week 3 i am starting to notice the imperfections. One is somewhat bothersome. I get a clunking noise when i brake. It doesn't sound scary just a bit unnerving. Any ideas what that is? also I noticed my low coolant light is erratic. The resovoir is full(toyota red fluid). Thanks again. I just ordered a manual for free(!) Also anybody ever replace the footwll light. My passenger side light is out and i don't know how to get it out. One more thing... i don't know if i am being obsessive but i hear a slight ticking noise from the engine. Is that normal?

i did the same thing you did. i just drenched the carpet with as much cleaner as i could find. then let it soak. then rug doctored. then vaccumed. worked pretty well. since it was hot (95+) it only took a day to dry. now i am in the middle of taking my drver seat apart. since i bought it the car the right side of the seat would not move. the back part not the rails. Anyways i couldn't sit properly when it was lined up so i took the back off and saw that side had gotten loose from the grooves. I have done everything trying to get it to go back in and catch. i might need a new seat. yall have any idea how much a seat @ a junk yard would cost??

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I will post pictures soon. Today i took the interior apart and put a rug doctor on the filthy carpet. Cleaned all the parts. Now all i have to do is put it back together!. coke stains and old laffy taffy. it was tough. Oh btw i really like the magic erasers except i think i might be too rough on them. they disintegrate on me. I got the car aligned on friday but the car still pulls to the right. Maybe i should rotate the tires. So far so good! one bad thing. $65 to fill up with my paltry salary. Maybe i should get one of those rewards cards... well i guess i can't complain too much with a ls400 at the price of a civic. I love my lexus!

I Fixed the seats! i read that a guy said if you press the buttons rapidly for a period of time the connection will fix itself. Well it did! now i've just spent 6 hours taking the interior apart and cleaning every crevice. The previous owner was kinda dirty. Any suggestions on getting stains out of carpet?? thanks

Hey you guys i was wondering if anybody knew anything about the memory seat system. My mom has taken a liking to my car and is always changing my seats. For some reason they don't work. Also the little seatbelt height adjuster doesnt work either. Do I need to get a new switch or somthing? Also The Interior dome light doesn't work. I checked the light its fine. The map lights and sunroof are fine.. Also(many niggling problems), the keyhole doesnt light up outside or inside. Hmm i think thats it. Any help would be appreciated! also i was wondering if anybody knew hout to take the exterior driverside door handle off?? I don't want to damage my car when i'm trying to fix it. THANKS AGAIN!

And i thought my memory seats were advanced. Oh well I'm young, i'll be able to afford on in about 15 years. No rush right?

Man and i thought i was saving a bunch sweatin my !Removed! with the ac off. I was only doing 60-70 too. Oh well. BTW i averaged 26 on an 800 mile trek.

I took a big risk. I purchased a high mileage 93 LS400. 210k on the clock. Little bit of rust. The rearview mirror works but has a clear spot in it. The Temp Controls LCD is out.(big surprise), the speedo needle is black, the tape player doesn't work, the door handle is broken(still opens though). Leather is dirty but no rips.Normal scraches too. So tell me. Did I get a deal or was I robbed or was it just fair. Has trac and heated seats. Pearl White. Paid $2175. My dad is a mechanic and bodyman so i thought fixing it up might be fun. Drove it from Chicago (where the car was from) to Atlanta with no problems. I'm really exicted! This car is smooth! tell me your thoughts! I would love some feedback. I've only had the car for 48 hrs. Oh, as for gas mileage i got 27 on a constant cruise at 65-70 w/ ac off.
